Darrell Revis to Panthers?

yeah we should go for it, sounds like a great idea. Championship here we come with our roster of Revis and all minimum contracts for years because of dead money we spent on a dumb trade

completely hypothetical question, in the event it were possible, and we were able to package d-lo and gamble to the jets for revis, would the jets take on both deangelo and gamble's contracts, therefore freeing up a crap ton of space for us, allowing us to sign revis and or others long term, or what?

Player for player trades just don't really happen anymore. Probably because there are crazy dead money cap penalties for moving guys with sizable signing bonuses.

It would free us of any remaining guaranteed money, but we would still be responsible for their prorated signing bonus cap hit. Since neither have any more "guaranteed" money left on their contracts, the answer is no. The cap hit would still be the same as if they were cut.
