Yeah, I don't see Jesse going in the first round. There are NTs that can pressure the QB and stuff the run in the first two rounds. Jesse is a one-trick pony.

Then again, the Chiefs were stupid enough to draft Poe in the first round just based on his combine and pro day workouts.

Bama vs. Memphis....LOL

Name some Nose tackles in the NFL that are every down pass rushers. Jesse does what his position calls for and has all the potential in the world to improve his pass rush skills.

One game? Great...

Kris Jenkins had the best from both worlds, remember? How about Ngata? Or Wilfork?

S. Williams and B. Williams can do both. So can Hankins (when on point).

Brandon Williams plays at a much lower level than Jesse. I'm sure Jesse would kill the QBs of the teams that Brandon played against.

John Hankins does not have any pass rush skills either, and is definitely not a 3 down player with that motor of his.

And isn't Sylvester a 3 tech DT?

All three of those guys are once in a generation prospects lol...

Jesse is a huge upgrade over anything we have and has potential to be at the same level as the guys you listed.

Sylvester can play at UT and NT. He played NT/UT at the Senior Bowl.

That's your opinion, but I severely doubt Jesse possesses Brandon's quickness and athleticism. The tape for the Senior Bowl says it all. Brandon kept linemen off of Short and he even managed to collapse the pocket, pressure the QB and penetrate the backfield.

Hankins lacks a motor but his pass rushing moves are 10x better than Jesse's. He had a 'meh' 2012 season but he still got more pressure on the QB than Jesse did. The potential is there if he ever decides to alter his work ethic.

Think about what he was asked to do at Bama too. Those pro day numbers certainly suggest he can get up the field and apply pressure. Plus he has some great game tape against some of the top competition in college football.

I'm not saying he would be my first round pick, but i wouldn't be mad if I heard his name called either.

Jesse is an upgrade but he isn't a first round prospect just because he had a stellar Pro Day.

If he's there in the second, then I'm in, but I prefer Brandon than Jesse.

I'm hoping someone wants to trade up for a WR where we can slide down a few picks and take Jesse Williams. He is a monster on the run and on obvious 3rd and longs we normally sub in pass rushers so no big deal.

If they were "once in a generation" they wouldn't have been picked in the late first-early second rounds, suh on the other hand was definitely a once in a generation prospect. That's not to take anything away from those guys as they were all great players and mostly still are but I don't agree that they were once in a generation prospects.

And I agree also that Jesse would be a huge upgrade over what we have, and so would a lot of other top DTs in this draft as well but I think Jesse fits what we need most.

One of my favorite prospects that I have going to us in the second round, Jesse Williams, has just locked himself up as a first rounder. Maybe even a top 15 pick.

The 320 pound man child from Aussie just backed up his athleticism with a 4.7 forty yard dash at Bamas pro day. Not to mention he is capable of benching 600 pounds. Just unreal.

I pray to god that Dwanatron re-signs and we can draft Jesse to play NT. I would help Ryan Kalil write another Super Bowl guarantee.

so you say now you had him going in the second round but in this thread mocked me for having him as a second round pick? cool bro

When I made mock (a month after yours) Jesse's stock had quietly taken a dive due to his position and the fact that he didn't get to blow up the combine like I expected.

But with these results at his pro day it really shoes his potential, which will sky rocket his stock making him a first round lock.

Do you want to talk about him as a prospect or throw a bitch fit?

Williams is a freak but there's no way he's going in the top 15. There are better prospects than him at NT (Star, Hankins, Jenkins) and THOSE guys are already slipping. Not to mention he offers nothing on passing downs. He won't collapse pockets like the guys above him can.

If we go NT much rather have Jenkins.

Whoa whoa whoa....where in the hell are you hearing Hankins and Jenkins are better than Williams??

Star is the only one that might have a slight edge but he has a heart condition that might scare teams away.
