When you look at his ranking everyone see this kid 6 or 7th round

But if you take a look at his stats this is just insane.

2013 180 284 2447 63.4 8.62 76 24 1 20 162.9 70.8

24 TD for just ONE yes ONE interception!!!!

Playing in the SEC this is a pretty accurate QB.

And he is a very good scrambling QB, we need him just in case.

I'd love to spend a late round pick on him. Derek Anderson most likely won't be our backup after this year so it'd be nice to have Shaw to groom.

Watching him play, he reminds me a lot of The Golden Calf of Bristol but with a better arm and without scabs on his knees.

I don't think we need a late round flier on a QB this year but in general he looks ok.

Since we only have 2 QBs on our roster and our starter is a scrambling+ QB we need one REAL BAD.

And Connor is looking like the perfect backup for Cam.

Morris couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if it were running a comeback route.. The dude is only a vertical thrower.. Shaw is much better.

He could honestly start for some teams.

IF he's there in the 6th round, I say grab him.  We need a solid #2 dual threat QB if something would happen to Cam.  Easily the most underrated QB in the draft.

But could he 'explode a barn after eating bojangles with Smitty and Delhomme?

We need WRs and OL. If Cam goes down just call it a season and vie for a high pick in the following draft. We don't need any back up plan.

Outside of Logan Thomas, Morris was probably the worst quarterback at the Senior Bowl.

If we did take Shaw it wouldn't be until the 6th or 7th round.  By then, we should have already taken care of our secondary/wide-receiver, and o-line issues.   Either way, we do need to start preparing some kind of backup plan for Cam if he goes down.  Anderson probably won't be around for much longer.  Whether it's this year or next year, we need to get ourselves a solid dual threat QB.  Shaw would be the best available QB that late in the draft.

So in the middle of a tight race to a division title or a wildcard and Cam goes down with a bad ankle sprain that needs a couple of weeks.  You want to mail the whole season in?

Thank God you're not running the show.

You bring a QB similar in ability to the one you got under center you just might grab an additional win or two.

NEXT MAN UP....

You don't tank a season because one player goes down.  Even if it is your Franchise QB.  There are 52 other players that are giving their all to win NOW.

1990 Giants I believe Phil Simms went down and Jeff Hostetler came in and won the Super Bowl for them.

I would love to see a QB like Shaw being a backup.  I like Anderson but his skill set is far different then Cam's.  The whole game plan changes with Anderson.  Someone like Shaw might be able to take the reins and keep running with our game plan.
