In Topic: Panthers considered taking QB TJ Yates

TJ Yates stock rose pretty damn high after one win in the NFL.

2 wins and a save :(

EDIT: I won't lie here, I thought Yates was a terrible pick and that he did not do very well even with some pretty deep talent on his team at UNC. Either Gary Kubiak is some sort of QB coaching savant or I was dead wrong about Yates. Either way, this isn't the first time a front office member of a team not named the Texans said they were thinking about taking TJ Yates before Houston but didn't.

again, i didn't say there weren't good.....said they were overrated.

Bottom line is you can take 2 indentical defenses.....have one play the top 3 offenses in the NFL and one play the bottom 3. One of those statistically will look superior. Texans D has benefited from weak offensive opponents

You are literally repeating what Falcons fans were saying a few weeks ago. Talked about how Ryan was going to pick apart the Texans D and Turner was going to go ape.

If the offense does it's job early and gives the defense a lead to play with it's going to get real ugly real fast.

EDIT: Some graphs denoting team averages in yardage and points and how they fared against the Texans defense:

In Topic: Andre Johnson to miss Panthers game

Andre Johnson being out does suck, but he's been missing a lot already this season.

How good is your team at covering TE's? Owen Daniels is quickly becoming Yates's safety blanket on important downs.

Any of you guys ever made the drive from Beaumont to El Paso (and vice versa on the return) in a single day?

Freakin sucks.

Yes I used to be stationed at Ft. Bliss and everything past San Antonio is a wasteland.

Once more you misunderstand what I mean by "leading."
Not 17-7. Not 17-10.

23-6. 28-7.

Pretty sure leading a game winning drive is what it is if you were down 28-0 or 10-0. I'm not going to fault the guy because the Texans defense doesn't give him the opportunity to command an offense that is down 3 or 4 touchdowns.
