Minorities going without healthcare? The reason g5's answers are short is because he's typing with one hand.

The stadium looks like it's from the future! I bet that's what 2007 will look like!

Sick burn, yo!

Dude! You shouldn't limit yourself to just this board. You're doing the world a disservice by only posting on here. Go put that on Twitter, because that will get like 50,000 retweets by 8 o'clock.

Nobody is justifying anything with slut shaming, although what kind of person do you think she is? Not a slut, no, just crazy. . much more so than Hardy. THAT is the issue.

e: especially when youre throwing every dude under the bus without questioning the woman youre supporting. Typical woman's reaction, we expect it now, and we're getting tired of false accusations as a whole.

#2859737 As you have grown up have you become more liberal or more conservative?

Posted by Delhommey on 21 July 2014 - 09:31 AM

I think people here would call it liberal, but the big problem I have with liberals is they treat things happening such as increased income inequality as if they were something that just happened by unfortunate accident.

As I've gotten older I've seen just how much awful people game the rules to be in their favor. It's no accident.

In Europe, of course, I'd be center left.

So how many people in this thread are aware we have discovered fire?

#2859355 Carolina Panthers, city face decision soon on stadium talks

How does your business affect the area? Does it contribute by bringing thousands of people looking to drink, eat, and other ways of spending money?

Do people really still believe that stadium extortion money is a net financial positive for a city?

#2858453 Post Office ....and Bank?

Posted by Delhommey on 19 July 2014 - 10:04 PM

Here's how I'd do it.
Open a checking account at Chase. $10 a month fee or free with auto deposit.
Payday, deposit your check at local ATM or bank or just take a picture and deposit via your phone from home.
Funds clear next day and use your debit card as cash. Or go to local ATM or bank and withdraw entire check if desired.
Literally you never have to even set foot in a bank if you deposit at ATM or use Chase phone AP.

Because that's exactly what poor people can do...

#2857739 Malaysian airlines lost contact with another Jet

Everything I said was factual. No one got medals for that specific event i.e. the shooting down of the airliner. They were end of tour awards. Complain about the evil military all you want, but the hyperbolic comments are not correct. No one got medals for shooting down the airliner, They got the standard end of tour awards.

And why shouldn't the captain of the Iowa get his pension? He did his time, and he wasn't the one that made the accusations about the sailor, that was NCIS.

When else on this tour did Lustig "quickly and precisely complete the firing procedure" as was specifically called out on his Commendation Medal? What other major events happened on July 3rd 1988, which was the date of service specifically cited for the Legion of Merit medals for both Rogers and Lustig?

I mean I understand you defending your branch, but the only thing missing here is the Navy embossing the medals with a picture of the Iranian airplane.

Because of the KAL007?

Or are you doing the thing where you throw your hands in the air and shout "Well I guess we're just the worst country in the world! We should all just kill ourselves!" that conservatives tend to do when anything is brought up that proves the US is not the shinning city on the hill?

Can you sum it up for us? That's a long ass reading...

Navy captain known as a hothead goes looking for a fight in a state of the art Aegis cruiser, ignores orders and chases small Iranian gunboats into Iranian waters, and gets in a firefight. Then in the heat of "battle" (no shots were fired on the Aegis cruiser), crew messes up royally, misreads all their instruments and shoots down 290 innocent men, woman, and children.

Navy predictably lies, says the gunboats were attacking a ship that doesn't actually exist, and says the event was in international waters.

Navy further lies and says the commercial airliner was descending, flying outside of its flight plan, and picking up speed. The aircraft was clearly ascending as it normally would after take off and was flying completely within the flight plan that American ship had on board.

The man who pushed the button to shoot the commercial aircraft down "won the navy's Commendation Medal for 'heroic achievement,' his 'ability to maintain his poise and confidence under fire,' enabling him to 'quickly and precisely complete the firing procedure'" (Quotes are the US Navy's. Take it up with them, Deac)

The only reason the truth came out was because Iran successfully sued the US in International Court.

#2856837 Post Office ....and Bank?

Posted by Delhommey on 18 July 2014 - 11:46 AM

I'm being honest here, and possibly naive, but who doesn't have access to affordable banking and check cashing?

Now the loan side of things, that's different.

Generally poor people with no credit or bad credit. At one time this is me.

I was once out of work for 4 months as a youth and just ran out of money. My bank (Wachovia) had an overdraft protection system, so I used it as a line of credit cause I didn't have another resource. I did odd jobs here and there to make some money and would faithfully pay $10 or so to the bank to show I was a client in good standing.

Finally I found work, and when I got my first paycheck I went straight to the bank to happily cash it, and pay off the $160 or so that I had outstanding with them.

When I got there, they told me they had closed my account and I'd have to talk to the personal banker. The Personal Banker then told me they had closed my account and reported me to whatever the governing body is so that I could not open a bank account for 7 years. She was gleeful in telling me this.

Realizing this was not a person I would get far with, I asked if I could at least cash the check so I'd have some money and could pay my debts. She told me "We don't cash checks for people walking in off the streets (at the time I'd had an account with them for 10 years)" and she sent me away.

Now this story has a happy ending as my parents had their mortgage with Wachovia and were able to find somebody with an ounce of sense (hard to find with banks) who re-opened my account and let me pay off my $160 debt.

That being said, if I had not had middle class parents with a Mortgage with Wachovia, and had I not fought the first person I ran into, I would be one of those people having to use a check cashing service. All for an outstanding debt that was never over $200 that I paid regularly on and paid off in full after 4 months.

Meanwhile, as the Supreme Court rules that a narrow sect of Christianity is the only one corporations can enforce upon their employees.....
