#2890712 Steph Curry interested in coming home?

Posted by setzer2030 on 14 August 2014 - 07:13 PM

Jason Whitlock and Dan Le Batard on "Pardon the Interruption" today gave the chances of "Steph Becoming a Charlotte Hornet" a 10% and 9% chance respectively lol. With that being said, any day Kornheiser and Wilbon are out, are days that I'd rather not watch the show.

#2885468 More Former Panther News

Posted by setzer2030 on 10 August 2014 - 07:04 PM

That and word says that Lafell is really impressing up there.  I mean, come on, Lafell?  ESPN and erryone gonna always love putting a happy spin on the Cheatriots.

LaFell can impress all he wants, I couldn't be happier that he's not a Panther anymore.

#2883587 Jimmy clausen lighting it up tonight

I always find myself paying attention to the Bears for the crazy amount of former Panthers on their roster year in and year out.  Started with Muhsin, Ricky Manning, Dante Wesley. Then Peppers, Fiammetta, Rosario. Now Clausen and Armanti. Seems like a lot of former Panthers end up in Chicago.

Good to see Armanti being Armanti in this game as well. 0 catches on 3 targets.

#2881765 Newton-Benjamin relationship tight already

Posted by setzer2030 on 08 August 2014 - 04:12 PM

"That's the image I got recently as Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin sat across from each other at lunch. Nobody else was at the table. They were so engaged in conversation it was like nobody else in the noisy room existed. "

What ESPN meant was "Cam only sits with Kelvin at lunch. Thug."

#2880916 So a fun question for the Huddle.

I saw a little girl with a 49ers cap on crying her eyes out at that NFC championship game and it absolutely broke my heart :/

Nope, no feels....none at all. Cry away little girl. Are you Roger Goodell?

Beat me to it. Every time Cam does the Super Cam he's putting the spotlight on himself. You think he doesn't know the rest of the League hates it, and that it rubs the opposing Defense's nose in it? Yep he does. Does it stop him from doing it? Nope not at all....

I'll admit, when Kaep did it in the playoffs I was pissed, but then again, if Cam would've kissed his bicep on a game winning drive in that game, I would've been all over it.  Its just part of the game.

That at least is a semi reasonable point my only thing is I'd rather not have villains in Carolina

The rest of the league looks at Cam as a villain. Every time he runs into the endzone and opens his imaginary cape, that isn't out of "respect" to his opponents.  Lance Stephenson isn't liked by many just because of his antics in the playoffs.  Both have a great amount of confidence and make their respective teams better.  I'm cool with a little bit of attitude in the QC.

I define Classy play as Payton Manning, or those like him that play well and are quiet and respectful of their opponent.

If everyone was quiet and respectful of their opponent there would be no such thing as rivalries and the league would be extremely boring. Everyone loves the classy players like Peyton, Jeter, and Durant, but we would be fooling ourselves if sports only included that type of personality. We need villains.

#2880717 Kelvins Hands....

Kelvin's hands were measured at 10 1/4". Megatron's hands were measured at 9 1/4".

#2880695 Les Be Honest, I love Smitty..

Posted by setzer2030 on 07 August 2014 - 07:55 PM

Do I cheer for Harper when him and smith get in to it? Bizzaro world....

sadly, i'm thinking harper won't be much of a factor this year. never thought i'd be accompanying "sadly" with that.

I'm a Bersin fan and all, butiverson-3-1 copy.jpg

#2876813 Andy Dalton...

Posted by setzer2030 on 04 August 2014 - 09:20 PM

NFL.com has an article about richest contracts contract for 2014. Gotta say Andy's wasn't the worst, I forgot how much money Eli Manning was making throwing picks...

Just because of his hardware. In today's NFL Trent Dilfer would've gotten $90 million the day after they won the Super Bowl.

#2870263 Not Panthers News, But Some of you will be happy at this suspension

Posted by setzer2030 on 30 July 2014 - 11:04 AM

I'm not going to get into a debate, but that is kind of blaming them.

People should have a right to say what they want without fear of getting knocked out (or worse).  And even if you don't believe that, you're talking about a woman vs a man---a professional football player at that.  What can she say, wear, whatever that would cause for Rice to knock her the fug out?  Sticks and stones...dude.

I agree, they should have a right to say what they want without fear of getting knocked out. But Stephen A. Smith should be able to share his opinion on a debate show without fear of getting suspended for his opinion.

#2869260 Pats claim RB Tyler Gaffney off waivers

22 pages on the Patriots picking up a 6th round pick that can't play until next season. Makes sense.
