#2315302 Jon Beason "shocked" if Cam isn't a Captain this year

Posted by Sword on 08 August 2013 - 01:10 AM

If Cam is made captain he should probably get a C stitched onto his towels as well. Or does that cross a line. lol

They let you vote for the pro bowl as many times as you want, why would it matter here in a bloody jersey battle? lol

#2070796 According to Yasinskas Ross not high on GM list. (Gettleman higher on the list)

JR's first question to any GM candidate "Do you have any tattoos?"

#2068095 Deangelo

The 2012 Saints defense allowed more yards than any defense in the history of the NFL. I don't need any more explanation of why Deangelo Williams had such a big game.

well we were playing 3rd string guards/centers so is that really an excuse.

It kind of looked like they still had a bounty on Cam from last year..better investigate goodell!

#2059593 Does this sloppy win help Rivera's chances?

Holiday game for a team that is just playing for is coach going against a seemingly cupcake team. It's hard to get every player on that field ready to play for that. The OLine certainly looked like it was already home for the holidays..

#2051674 Uh oh. Pat Y might just have dropped a bombshell. Get ready for Beane as GM

Jason La Canfora

From what I have heard, former Giants GM Ernie Accorsi, who is aiding the Panthers in their GM search, is pushing long-time Giants exec Dave Gettleman. But that would be another spot when pairing a young GM with a young coach like Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy makes sense as well.

Dave Gettleman, who is New York's pro personnel analyst, has quality credentials as well. He isn't talked about in the media as much as other members of New York's front office, with Mark Ross getting lots of attention and some interviews in recent years -- another hidden gem. But if Panthers owner Jerry Richardson skews a little older, and wants more experience, Gettleman's 15 years with the Giants and 25 years in the league go a long way.

#2040788 I Saw Gettis On The Sideline

It could be that he's just not getting much time in practice to get catches from Cam. He should probably be spending every waking minute of his life trying to become bestest friends with #1. Murphy has been staying after practice every day to catch passes with Cam, is Gettis trying to do so too? I just have a feeling if Cam felt that Gettis should get more playing time he would.

#2038480 Rivera shows emotions at end of press conference.

Posted by Sword on 09 December 2012 - 04:22 PM

Just caught a glimpse of the press conference. Person comments that he doesn't seem very emotional about this win. Says he's very exicited then almost breaks down over Thomas Davis still playing after asking him for another shot after three blown knees. Said that's why we play this game and apologized, leaving before showing too much of the real Ron.

This is all paraphrased of course. Hopefully a link will be up later.

Edit: Here's a link.

#1990630 Your opinion: how long will Cam be a Panther?

Posted by Sword on 10 November 2012 - 02:48 PM

I'm sure ol JR see's the opportunity in Cam to expand the Panthers brand to the nation. He's already said he's the last QB he'll ever draft.

I can see us putting Hardy right over their backup guard on passing downs. He's been getting many sacks when he's lined up at a tackle position and this could be another occasion.

#1989569 "Do I need to help you read a revenue chart, son?"

Posted by Sword on 09 November 2012 - 02:50 PM

i think many are forgetting this, ignoring it, or just don't think it matters.

these guys are more motivated than they've been in a long time, though.

it means more to the panthers than it does to the broncos and i could care less about fox anymore other than he's the enemy now and i want him to go down...same with peyton. i want him eating grass and begging for mercy.

Us against the world. The no respect card is usually played out but that's because it is usually the best way to motivate players. Nobody on the outside is giving the panthers a chance to beat the broncos..but they also don't really watch our games either.

Perhaps players just thought they had to do just enough and they could get a big paycheck from Hurney..Now that is thrown for a loop they actually have to live up to some sort of expectations.

#1984872 Gettis activated... Pilares to IR

Posted by Sword on 06 November 2012 - 04:55 PM

I'm sure we all knew this, but Rivera did mention today that Gettis was pegged as the number 2 before he got hurt last year. I'm sure his playtime will depend on conditioning but if he still has his big play ability he needs to be in there.
