#3302519 Panthers claim OT Jonathan Martin

Posted by Gin and Juice on 27 March 2015 - 04:12 PM

Lol....gettleman is not trying to take a OT in the draft.

I think he really just wants to take the BPA. Despite this move, wouldn't surprise me to still see Bell brought back and a Tackle drafted in first 3 rds

Awesome pick up! Now he can get off the media radar and focus on improving

#3302500 Current Panthers Receiver Depth Chart

Posted by Gin and Juice on 27 March 2015 - 04:07 PM

I personally like to think Benji fills our need for a number 2 solidly!

Benji is our Boldin, now we need our Fitzgerald

I think Brown emerges as our 3 or worst case 4.

Everything else is a camp competition

#3302011 Jarrett Boykin signed to 1 year deal

False

I really like Hardy's story. He went from being a walk-on to breaking the all-time NCAA receptions record. I could him playing a Julian Edelman type role somewhere. Solid route runner with great hands. Sneaky quickness after the catch.

Something to be said about a guy with that kind of work ethic and progression. He is the epitome of the type of player the Panthers covet.

With WRs, it's simple, if they produced in college at a huge level, then they can produce to some degree in the NFL. Especially if they are superb route runners with descent hands.

He does seem to be this year's Kenaan Allen and Jordan Matthews! I would not be upset if a third was spent on him, or even a 2nd. Outside of Cooper and White, the WR class seems to be hit or miss and that includes Parker IMO. I would group Parker, Smith, and Hardy in the second tier of WRs, then everyone else

#3283712 Is Brenton Bersin really that bad?

Posted by Gin and Juice on 14 March 2015 - 08:00 AM

Every player, even the fifth receiver on the depth chart, must be an all pro level player or it proves the front office doesn't care about winning

Truth! 8-8 Dream Team is what the folks want

#3276175 Gettlemagic - Panthers Greatest Offseason Pickup.

Posted by Gin and Juice on 10 March 2015 - 10:07 PM

I prefer to call it building a future by not over extending the credit cards.

Living the cap by counting on restructures and meaningless extensions is like paying off one credit card with another.

By not overpaying for players and biting the dead money a chunk at the time, we will be able to keep ours and with the way his drafts have been.....keeping our own is gonna get EXPENSIVE

#3275773 Will the fanbase implode if no big moves are made?

It's like De Ja Vu

#3275640 Boykin to Visit per Rapoport

Posted by Gin and Juice on 10 March 2015 - 07:48 PM

dude is trash

He is most likely being brought in as a special teams ace that plays WR, not a stud WR that plays special teams

Special teams guy! Can make big plays on coverage.

Sounds like a signing for DeHaven

Man I hope so

#3268655 Packers sign Randall Cobb to 4 yr / $ 40 million contract

Posted by Gin and Juice on 08 March 2015 - 10:43 AM

This definitely gives Smith bargaining chips...

If he goes in the $8-$9M/yr range no way we pay that.

No way we pay more than 4mil! 8-9mil would only go to somebody we drafted and was truly worth it

#3268140 Put Down 10

Posted by Gin and Juice on 07 March 2015 - 08:50 PM

Put down 10 FA you think the Panthers may REALISTICALLY may sign!

He/she who has the most Panthers on their 10 at the end of March shall be named Nippleshorts expert and all other Huddlees must bow!

Or it would just be fun to see if anyone has figured out the Gman!

1. S-Quinton Carter
2. CB-Alan Ball
3. DT/DE-DaQuan Bowers
4. DE-Derrick Morgan
5. T-Chris Hairston
6. T-Jeremy Parnell
7. WR-Hakeem Nicks
8. WR-Ted Ginn
9. TE-Tony Moeaki
10. RB-Pierre Thomas

#3259222 So be honest and completely objective.. Is there really a LT worth a true 1st...

They are like DEs, takes most a couple years to get going
