#580812 The official Dwayne Jarrett bandwagon

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 05 May 2010 - 03:40 PM

I'm not jumping on that thing. It's on fire and the wheels are falling off.

i'm not jumping on because it reminds me of one of my dad's old clunkers he had in the back yard.

it never went anywhere...but we had a lot of fun pretending it did.

#562124 Remember when?

The rest never happened or are being wildly exaggerated in terms of the number of people that said those things.

that's odd, because i remember the general consensus for each of those players being exactly what he posted.

#549523 How DeAngelo Compares to the Greatest In History...

ps Jim Brown is a god...

i don't think some people know how much an insult it is to try to compare any of today's RBs to jim brown.

#504859 14 games, 14+ attempts, 14-0...playing with stewart stats 'cause i'm bored

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 14 March 2010 - 04:41 PM

did you know...when stewart has 14 or more rushing attempts in a game, carolina is 14-0?

they are 6-12 when he touches it less.

almost 1400 of his 1900+ career rushing yards were accumulated in those 14 games.

16 of his 20 career rushing touchdowns came in those games.

overall he averages almost 100 yards and a td per game in those 14 games.

#501821 Worried about morale this season....

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 11 March 2010 - 07:12 PM

I am a bit worried about the tensions between the players and the front office this season. If players see these moves as simply preparations for a lockout (true or untrue), they may and will resent it. How hard will a player play for a boss who is sticking it to them? Not very.

Do you feel damage control needs to happen at some point this offseason? Publicly or in the film room?

i think the only players who may need damage control are the new "veterans".

i think the younger less experienced simply see an opportunity.

#470009 Peppers would have to give NE a discount...

Posted by nosuchthingasapanther on 19 February 2010 - 08:04 PM

When Peppers hits free agency the team most likey to sign him and offer the biggest contract will be the Panthers. The Eagles and Falcons I think will be in the running but in the end, the Panthers will offer him the best deal.

this is what i believe.

no one is going to offer peppers remotely close to what he made last season.

in the end, he will be back in a panther's uniform.
