Sorry, but however futile their efforts are in trying to stop something like this, I respect them far much more than I do someone complaining about said efforts.

#1652088 Should we get Alshon Jeffrey in the 5th round??

#1450700 Put this one on Rivera and staff

Posted by CharlotteBeer.com on 09 October 2011 - 11:08 PM

Still very excited about our team... Yes, I would have liked (no, loved) a win, but we are learning. There were a few questionable calls, but the fact of the matter is that we just couldn't stop the Saints ....

You don't think that Cam's success reflects well upon Rivera? He did draft the guy and provide him with a coaching staff that uses him to the best of his abilities. I think it's all too easy to assume Cam would have found the same success in any other system or under any other coaches.

No, he's just forgotten.

Jimmy had a much, much better defense last year. If we had this year's offense and last year's defense, we could make the playoffs this year.

#1404905 Jordan Gross' Block on Woodson

It really was an awesome block. Perhaps the greatest block by an offensive lineman I've ever seen.

#1394358 I lost my best friend this morning,

#1371479 Clowney, Keiser, Payne, Browning Cut

Posted by CharlotteBeer.com on 04 September 2011 - 07:47 PM

I keep hearing about this supposedly high ceiling that Armanti has. I've yet to see any flashes from him in two years. Am I supposed to think he's a future Pro Bowl receiver? I've seen the same indication of that ever happening with him as me, i.e. none.

There have been no flashes from Clausen either yet everyone's through with him. I'm almost sickened by the number of excuses people give Armanti Edwards.

You neg-repped me for accidentally "pieing" me? Who does that?

#1371287 Clowney, Keiser, Payne, Browning Cut

Posted by CharlotteBeer.com on 04 September 2011 - 06:42 PM

Can anyone make an argument that Armanti Edwards is a better receiver than Clowney is? You can't because he's not. I was pleased to see they bit the bullet and cut Everette Brown; they should have done the same with Armanti Edwards.

Clowney has been in the league for four years. We know what he is capable of.

Edwards is only a year removed of playing quarterback, and his ceiling is far higher than Clowney's.

Like someone else in this thread said, we have too many mediocre receivers. I'm not saying this new guy won't be yet another one, but I can understand parting ways with Clowney.

I would pair it with a nice Belgian pale ale. :P

Okay, so that's a much better choice.

I long for the day when we Panthers fans are known as a "beer and cheese" crowd. :cheers2:

Watching you.

#1319066 Smith confirms Panthers went after Moss and Floyd.

Posted by CharlotteBeer.com on 10 August 2011 - 09:32 AM

Believe what you want, but I don't buy it. In the real world you talk with your family FIRST, before requesting a trade which would require moving the whole family. You especially do this when you spouse is sick.

Do people here really think he cleaned out his locker and did everything he did, and all of a sudden after the trade didn't work out his family changed their mind and wanted to stay. If so, I have some swampland to sell you.

Do you really think Steve Smith is the most rational, level-headed person out there that would never act impulsively?

If so, I have some swampland to sell you.
