I remember when Cam was a Auburn he would put his hands underneath him and stay on the ground a few seconds longer. He said opposing players would try to step on and cleat his hands. If it happened in college, no doubt it happens in the NFL.
I remember Cam saying in an interview when he was at Auburn that the hand gesture and little prayer before the first snap has some meaning between him and Mom. I think he said it is a promise to his Mom to pray right before the start of each game and this is what they came up with so she would know he's keeping his promise.
But I agree. This one did look different than the usual blowing in his hands and rubbing them together.
It's more than a little stupid to compare a 3rd year quarterback to a 16 year quarterback. Why don't we compare the end of Manning's 3rd year to the end of Cam's 3rd year. Manning wins by .8 percent. Big deal.
