In Topic: IS this "Dave Getts" Greatest Season yet.

10 December 2014 - 07:53 PM

No.

He only has 2. His first at this moment in time looks much better than this seasons. He hit on everything vs almost every FA being a disaster

I think most of our fans take things at face value. Has anyone thought these disastrous veterans were only brought in to mentor the young guys and the draft picks we had this year? Look at our secondary now, and how young they are minus Harper. I think DG has done a hell of a job with what he has to work with. Imagine what we will have when this guy gets cap cash and starts looking for top talent free agents! I think we are a year or two away from becoming a SuperBowl caliber team.

Look how that oline played, Tolbert back, and how many full house formations did we run? Awesome game plan, I do not even remember Newton getting sacked! Keep Pounding, and Keep Brawling!

I agree, Cam has hit his ceiling in my opinion, he is no longer a rushing threat so now he is being exposed as a very mediocre passer. I have no confidence whatsoever he's a franchise QB

I strongly disagree. If we had the proper OL, and Cam can speed his decision making abilities up he would be a Franchise QB. He has to learn to take something off on shorter routes, he throws too hard honestly, and if he can develop the mental clock he would be one of the best in the NFL. I will be truefull, if Cam was not 6'5" 260+ lbs, he would be RG3, and out of the league already due to enormous amounts of hits and abuse. Cam has something the other Running QB's do not possess, Size! He can see over the oline so his sight is not blocked. Drew Bress makes a living on spot and timing routes, he often can not even see the completion. If we all remember Michael Vick in ATL, they always ran stretch plays to move him out of the pocket for his vision. Cam just needs confidence, sure up his technique, and get quality receivers and OLine. We need to move Olsen, or Cotchery to the slot, and open up short routes, that will boost his confidence and move the chains. He does need work on leadership to remain a captain.

In Topic: How much influence will the "Tolldozer" have on the run game?

Not only in Minnesota but throughout the rest of the season? Should it strengthen given a solid lead blocker? And will he help the passing game with assisting cam in the pocket, or outside of it in the screen game? He helped last year and earned a pro bowl ballot, what say you?

I can't not emphasize how important tolbert was to our offense. At lease he could block, not to mention those 3rd and 2, we might have, mind you, just might have ran for it, or it could be a 50yard Bomb 10 yards too far.

The answer is he will allow Olsen more time on routing patterns as well as the monster lead blocker he is. Then there comes that 3rd or 4th and short. I say we would have beaten Seattle, Atlanta, maybe NO if we had tolbert. At the very least, we could save Olsen from having to chip DEs.

In those games just think about how many 3rd and 2, or 4th and 1 we had that Tolbert would certainly picked up the first down, we only needed one first down in the ATL game that would have sealed it.

In Topic: SOTU - How would you fill in our roster holes to get us above 7-9?

Someone educate me. If Hardy is not resigned here what level supplemental draft pick could we get? Would that be an extra 3rd?
