  1. Past hour
  2. Im certain he would be contributing more here considering our WR situation. Thats just the way it is.
  3. Well if we're being realistic the Panthers have been in perpetual free fall since we unceremoniously cut ties with Newton. Unfortunately it all begins with Tepper. And now after Tepper has made an embarrassment of himself for years we give people keys and anoint them this or that before they've really done anything. It's not helpful. But it's also not helpful to seemingly have a different set of standards and apply those unevenly. Realistically the actual face of the franchise should be held to the highest standard of anyone but it seems like that's reserved for everyone else including coaches. It's a recipe for further instability. But let it play out. If we know our Panthers. We know it's gonna be a long season.
  4. I have heard ad nauseum that Stroud elevated his team as a rookie. Yet, Bryce has the better stats through the first three weeks of this season so far... what are the excuses for Stroud in year three?
  5. The whole Falcons team had them a wonderful Sunday afternoon nap
  6. He is firmly a #4 option there. He would still likely be our #1 or #2.
  7. I think you are conflating different things entirely. AT is and was a threat here because he is an extremely crafty and effective veteran WR. We throw/threw to him in scenarios most wouldn't because the other options were unreliable or all too often not open. So, a lot of his production was him making chicken salad out of chicken poo whilst being force fed the ball in a lot of those scenarios. Minnesota doesn't struggle with that. Also, they have been getting dumpster fire level QB play 100% of the season. Unless you truly believe that Justin Jefferson is only also capable of producing the paltry numbers he has(behind TMac in everything but TD's).
  8. I mean he was basically our #1. He's like their 3 or 4
  9. Lol. Even as an original "Pro Bryce" guy, I take no solace in the fact that CJ is struggling to regain his rookie magic. He does at least look like a valid NFL QB. Unfortunately, Bryce does not.
  10. Same as if we had kept Clowney to play in rotation. There he is on his retirement tour. Here he would have been much needed value in helping fill out gaps in production. Those guys aren't suposed to carry your team at that point in their careers. Just make a few well timed plays while setting the younger guys up for more success around them. We should have traded XL but they made him a sandwich.
  11. He's at the end of his career regardless of the pieces around him he just isn't a threat. Which defensive coordinators are staying up at night worrying about Adam Thielen?
  12. They have been pining for a "face" of the franchise after ejecting Cam. Ironically, 100% of the attempts have flopped. Curse of Cam?
  13. Going to be a rough week at the Huddle for some if the Panthers win and the Texans drop to 0-4...
  14. Valuable to the team on the field more than the FO. We got quite a haul, all things considered.
  15. I mean, there is some truth to that. JJ has looked pretty rough, even by rookie QB standards.
  16. They wanted him badly enough to give up a 4th
  17. It's aggressively fine. In my personal experience people from MN are also massive pussies about heat. Also some other generally unsavory qualities about the average Minnesotan, as well.
  18. Big difference in competing for touches against Justin Jefferson and Jalen Nailor than it is DJ Chark and Jonathan Mingo. Though I guess Bryce was just able to elevate Thielen more than JJ could?
  19. Yes, because if we had Justin Jefferson, TJ Hockensen, etc then AT would still be a 1k WR. Hence the, "he is way more valuable to us than them."
  20. I've been to Minneapolis, not sure why he wanted to go back there
  21. That's what bothers me about the way this franchise operates. And it's also just inconsistent. I mean our starting QB is 30+ starts deep and we're still letting him find his way despite the majority of that sample size being mediocre underwhelming or just bad.
  22. If he was as good as some have suggested here he would be a more integral part of their offense.
  23. I don't think he lost any steps from last year even a little bit. The steps you are talking about he lost several years ago.
  24. I think it's even simpler. We have the wrong people making decisions for us in the FO.
  25. Lots of people keep getting this story about as wrong as can be, IMO. This smelled of "happy wife, happy life." Took a pay cut to take a lesser role in a place he and his wife would rather be. I would imagine he wanted to retire a Viking, so it just is what it is. It's also why I said he was much more valuable to us than them, which is still 100% true.
  26. Today
  27. I am making at joke at his expense.
