Which angle? It would add around 1.5mill to the cap and Panthers get a top 15 PFF LB to lead the defense for the 2025 season? Chemistry wise, I don't know if Coker is liked or hated or loner or ______ . I just see hes got a few players in front of him. I think that's the biggest take-away, well besides all the cokeheads being too scared to call his stats or if he's active. Huddle has Coker rated as a ring of honor, I like him and all, but not that high......

On an off note, we may not have to pay Bryce if things don't go as planned. Barnwell isn't inking Bryce just yet: "There might be a truly desperate team out there willing to send a first-round pick to the Panthers right now, but I suspect most would probably prefer to wait and see whether the QB from the second half of 2024 is the guy we see in 2025. We might find out what Young really fetches in a trade after this season." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45824150/nfl-trade-tiers-2025-players-worth-first-round-pick-all-32-teams-contract-value#CAR Not that I'm trying to hijack the thread or anything...might have more money available than we thought...

He is supposed to be the contested catch guy. Good to see he seems to be able to do it at this level so far. Hope he can when the bullets are live.

Brother you are not a moron! Maybe age got you some. I feel it does come down to Icky or Motown, you can only pay one. Im going with the younger and more valuable LT. Who knows Panthers *could* not be happy with contract negotiations with Ickys reps and Know Motown would sign for 12 million per over 4 years. Then Panthers would need to be drafting a LT instead of RT. Let me check- Rashawn Slater signed a 4 year, $114,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, including $29,000,000 signing bonus, $92,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $28,500,000. In 2025, Slater will earn a base salary of $2,000,000, a signing bonus of $29,000,000 and a roster bonus of $7,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $14,800,000 and a dead cap value of $56,000,000 My god Icky will be in this zip code......

All of this bullshit over a hypothetical pursuit of a LB on the 31st ranked defense in the league and a fundamental misunderstanding of PFF and link after link proving I was right. Awesome.

It doesn't work for us.

Did I say that? Try again. In fact, I said the exact opposite in several respects. I don't run a football team, and I wouldn't presume to know what the ball boy knows, much less Eric Eager (for example). I can only know so much. I may question someone's opinion within the context of giving my own, but clowning people and personal insults are not my go-to style. Now, as some have learned over the more than last couple of decades, I can and will get stupid with people who get stupid with me.

Yea, I doubt Panthers can come close to a "fair" deal. Let me check- Morgan Moses signed a 3 year, $24,000,000 contract with the New England Patriots, including $4,200,000 signing bonus, $11,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8,000,000. In 2025, Moses will earn a base salary of $2,300,000, a signing bonus of $4,200,000 and a workout bonus of $150,000, while carrying a cap hit of $4,550,000 and a dead cap value of $11,000,000. Moses is older, but I don't know if Motown would take that, the other point is Id don't think the Panthers can offer this either. They have Icky and then........BY. How do you place a price on BY if he goes out in 2025 and tears up everyone...250 million?!?!?! That's means no RT too. Just too many players to pay. The Panthers already paid up for OGs and invested 8th, 32, and 39 at WR. Plus tossed 4th and 5th at TE to help BY. Personally I feel Motown knows this is his last panther season and it means a lot to him.

I was a Philly Brown truther and yeah he was actually really good for a while. But frankly Coker showed more last year than Philly B ever did. Honestly think Coker could reach peak Victor Cruz level

Taylor Moton gets emotional talking about what happens next year
t96 replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m a moron and read this whole thread thinking it was about Ickey and not Moton and was like wtf are all these responses lol. I like Moton but we’re gonna have to pay Ickey or a different LT so RT will have to come cheaper. -

Yup. I can't bank on a discount either in the modern NFL, just too rare. Just play and have fun this year IMO. -
Thornton was in his jersey, he is bringing it and glad to hear about a UDFA making plays and earning reps. If Thor keeps it up, bu-bye Evans.
-
We'll see if he's emotional enough not to take that big payday from a team not named the Panthers. He'll be alright, and so will the team. I understand the emotional aspect that arises from the business side, and that it's really about value from the FO's standpoint, but I will admit that I do have a little stress thinking about trying to replace Moton in light of O-line replacement problems of the last decade. It would be nice to see T-Mo come to a compromise. In any event, replacing players is central to the job.

Hey we are all Panthers fans, just message board theatrics. Keep pounding!!
-
Yes that part is not written in stone. I think Icky will look better in Pass settings, he's finally got some young hungry players to work on his craft. I hope he has gotten meaner too, *on field* Still you simply can not pay everyone top dollar, its impossible. So C or RT need to a focus on draft day and bargain bin FA shopping.

Did you really just type that and concluded with telling me to be a nicer person? You hypocrisy knows no bounds. You say that I make little comments about a person's intellect when you literally just made a post basically saying that you and NFL personnel were the only people smart enough to understand how to use tools like PFF.
-
Encouraging stuff. Praying for a leap forward for this offense and WR corps.

No, I'm answering your weak-ass attempts at trolling. You're calling me an ass? Go look in the mirror! You're consistently the only mod that really is an ass. I 100 percent think that the mod power changed you for the worst (in that regard). You laid out your opinion. **standing ovation** Good for you. I gave my opinion as well, which is simply just that I'd keep an open mind about it depending upon the details. News flash: having an open mind and being willing and able to support an opinion on a football discussion board isn't being an ass. Making little offhanded comments about a person's intellect is being an ass. Being an ass is asking someone, "Do you understand English?" Now I wonder who did that. Be a nicer person. You used to be. Stop subjecting the Huddle to your assholery!

And we need our LT to improve in pass pro. C or RT in the 2nd next year. -
The bad is that I haven't seen many clips of him getting open. The good is that he's finding ways to make plays anyway.
-
he had some incompletions in practice...
-
LOLOLOLOLOL I've very clearly laid out why I wouldn't do this. You haven't addressed any of it. All you've done is mid characterize arguments and make an ass of yourself, just like you did on the PFF thread.
