I'm just happy he's got consecutive wins, because it means the Panthers have consecutive wins.
-
Uhh buddy, we're 3-7. Not 3-9.
-
I thought you could only win one NFL game every 10 or so tries.

A winning streak! Hell yeah!

Miami will lose out.

2024 Charlotte FC Games Thread
Joe Bear replied to MillionDollarCam's topic in Charlotte Football Club
We got absolutely screwed on several no-calls in the first half. Should've been a free kick inside the 20 at one point and instead it was nothing, then on the other end we get called for a foul for breathing on an Orlando player. It kind of evened itself out in that that 95th-minute Orlando goal was called offside. Was it offside? Yes, but by a slim-enough margin that most any Charlotte sports team would never get it called. -
I disagree, on the grounds that Allen would've gotten more yards but also more turnovers. Toward the end of his tenure here I called him a good punter; he'll move the ball 50-60 yards before it goes to the other team.

DJ was my guy when he was here and I totally understand why he'd want to flex against the Panthers. They traded him away and it wasn't like he asked for a trade. He's a great WR. But Legette already has twice as many touchdowns in his rookie season as Moore had in 2018.

I'm not overreacting when I say that the Panthers are winning out and Bryce Young's Super Bowl MVP trophy is being developed as we speak.
-
No, the biggest joke lost to the Panthers. The title is given to whomever pulls that off.
-
I've trashed a lot of what Morgan has done lately (justifiably so), but that was a good deal. It's panned out very well and Jackson's really been a contributor at times. At the very least, he's not holding anyone back with his play.

Some fans simply can't believe they lost to the Panthers -- and others can't believe the Panthers won. It's surprising, yes, but the better team yesterday scored 23 points. The lesser team scored 22.
-
No, he's not -- he's a top-15 RB based on his vision, speed, blocking ability and catching ability. Not saying to re-sign Chuba to a backbreaking deal, but don't let him walk if he can be had for pennies on the dollar.

1-0 with me in the building this year. Also 1-0 with Kevin Harvick in the building, but I digress. -
What is this "next year" crap? You're 1-0, man. You have to go to every one now.
-
Let's just ride the wave of this rare one-game winning streak.

There's no way the Saints' defense is worse than the Panthers. The Panthers' defense is one of the three worst in NFL history, and it ain't three.

He looked better today and I'm glad, but today probably just clinched his career being extended by a couple years as a backup. A winless season of starts, and he's in the studio on ESPN College Football in a year or two.
-
I am immensely confident the Panthers will earn the No. 1 overall pick in 2025 and 2026 (whether it's traded for a future second or not is up in the air). So, let's just enjoy a rare win.
-
He's showed a good bit of progress over the last few weeks, but I'd rather see if a team could give up a first- or second-round pick than double down. Maybe, just maybe, Morgan won't ship him out with a third-rounder for a conditional 2031 sixth. He probably will get that return if he trades him. So on second thought, hell, keep him.
-
He's the GM of a 2-7 team and he's made some awful decisions -- with more coming before the trade deadline. But that's a hell of a lot better than being the GM of a 1-8 team, and he's a better drafter than Fitterer. I'll give him that. Now, prove he's better at making trades than any GM in NFL history other than Fitterer, and we'll be talking.
