  1. Not compared the physical Ayer themselves. Comparing the situations situation A “elite generational QB can’t overcome terrible OL play giving up <47% pressure. Fans drool over how their organization completely gutted and overhauled the OL situation B Elite MVP QB couldn’t overcome OL play. Fan base cries for years how this organization failed said player and he doesn’t have a ring because OL player C has bad game. Fans crucify him. Claim that Elite QBs can overcome terrible OL play. let’s throw the names out
  2. Who gives a poo what defense rank is. #5 defense vs #10 OL getting beat or #15 defense vs #31 ranked OL defense rank numbers matter. If that #5 defense pressured the QB 35% of the time while the #15 rank defense pressured 47% are you still pointing out the defensive ranking. mom looking at what’s going on the field not rankings from previous games.
  3. Yes. this is used a lot of their sitting in the pocket. a lot of times this is from coverage sacks. And holding onto it to long instead of running or throwing away. when OL get beat repetitive off the snap. Very little you can do. Especially when coming up the middle. there are a few incompletions over seen circulating where the DL’s arm is within a finger length of Sam’s arm. So it was about a mili second from a strip sack…..which again people would freak on Sam. Those throw he got the ball out and just misfired the WR resulting in an incomplete pass
  4. I’m not even trying to compare the players itself Mahomes vs Darnold. mahomes has tools no one has seen before. but he STILL couldn’t overcome bad OL play. It was so noticing that the Chiefs FO made some major reactionary moves to overhaul that OL. this guy couldn’t overcome that and his FO did what they did because of it. yet we somehow say that any elite QB would have looked good behind a historically bad OL yesterday
  5. That Eagles Defense still pressured the QB 47% of the snaps yesterday. More that Mahomes in the Super Bowl. so pretty comparative. Take the teams names off and look at the stats and play. Panthers QB was pressured Green team yesterday 47% of the time cheifs QB pressured a lot but less by red team last Super Bowl
  6. I mean this is the correct answer. But still people swear otherwise.
  7. Mahomes was running for his life and attempting super man type throws. And he wasn’t even receiving pressure at 47% of snaps
  8. Not trying to rally the troops necessarily. Just curious. and you Are right. Mahomes has the intangibles. But he couldn’t over come the OL in the SuperBowl. So can elite QB’s overcome poor OL or not?
  9. But he can overcome bad OL or can he not. Still didn’t answer the question. Because many of you swore Any QB could’ve overcome terrible OL play yesterday?
  10. Panthers fans right now. ”Sam Darnold is bad.” “Any Other QB would have won that.” ”Great QBs Can overcome terrible OL play.” last years superbowl “Mahomes effort was amazing.” “Poor guy was getting killed, nothing he can do.” soon after the Super Bowl “see what the Chiefs did for Mahomes. See what they’re doing for their OL.” 2015 ”The Only reseason Cam doesn’t have a ring is because Remmers and the OL.” 2016 ”This front office failed Cam with this OL.” why the narrative change?
  11. Only Issue is. as nice as Slater would be. The bulk of our issues on the OL has been on the interior.
  12. Ding ding ding we have a winner. and at almost every other drop back pressure pct. That’s not a recipe for success no matter the QB
  13. Some QBs are more comfortable than others. Sam historically hasn’t been as comfortable in that aspect as elite guys such as Brady. But none of them are ever comfortable when it gets to a certain extent. If you go look at every QB historically including Brady. Their worst games were when they had terrible protection up the middle. We gave up that at a historic rate today. The man was just set up for failure
  14. When the QB has a guy in his face about every other snap. And knows there’s about a 50/50 chance every play he’s going to get drilled by the some guy up the middle about the second the ball hits his hands or he will have to run for his life. Any QB will begin to ravel. Brady, Watson, Mahomes included
  15. He did come up limping. I believe in the 3rd quarter after being flushed out of the pockets with 2 guys barreling at him up the middle. poor guy was like sitting on the train tracks watching the train lights coming at him all day long. Cam Newton would have gone out broken after the 1st quarter behind this OL today.
  16. Got close enough to where he could smell my breathe. So he tossed it to Robby and he dropped it.
  17. Walked right past the Daley, Paradis and Miller untouched
  18. There wasn’t even a clean pocket all game lololol
  19. He was being flushed the second the ball hit his hands. And staring down guys. He didn’t even have time to do that. Dude had OL being literally thrown into his lap like projectiles off the snap. Those with All-22 and can clip some gifs out of it are going to show some eye popping clips.
  20. That’s the official stat on how many times Sam was pressured on his drop backs today.
  21. First off this is Not a defend Sam thread. He did not have a good game At All. but Not Watson Not Fields Not Herbert Not even Mahomes would have won this for us today everyone always emphasizes the importance of a LT. but you ask any Coach or any QB what’s the easiest ways to shut down a QB and a offense. It’s pressure right up the middle. the only times in history TB12 has looked mortal? Defensive pressure up the middle (see Giants Super Bowl wins) the interior OL was mortifying today. It looked like a HS kid going up against a NFL DT. Looked dangerous at times the way they were being Flung around. No exaggeration at times, a sled would have been more efficient because they would have slowed them down. this team isn’t going to go anywhere until Miller/Paradis/Daley get replaced/fixed
  22. Going to have some absolute Gem of some viral poo in it.
  23. Can’t wait for the All-22 to come out. for the first time in my life. I saw a OG straight up get decleated. Looked like a small RB getting in the way of a massive DT. Our RG must’ve flown back 3 yards onto his back. the play was in the early 2nd. I don’t know what Deonte Brown did to Rhule or his family. But Matt has to let go of his grudge or he is going to get his QB killed.
