  1. When you have Tom Brady and a loaded roster good things are going to happen. When you have Teddy and a poop roster bad things are going to happen. If TB can maintain that roster and Brady doesn't hit the wall, then they could repeat as SB champions. We're looking at multiple seasons of a slow rebuilding process that might not pan out. Brady having two #1 WRs and a stonewall o-line was just crazy, and that defense was first rate even with a key injury to the d-line. We have a lot of work to do just to climb out of the dumps and try to find a QB. Congratulations to the Bucs for making all the right decisions.
  2. Tepper. But rest assured Fitterer is hearing from Rhule and the other coaches. Fitterer doesn't technically have to obey Rhule, the OC, or the DC, but I've seen these positions talk to the GM and influence him greatly.
  3. Hearing about this deal had restored my faith in Fitterer. He needs to stay on a smart path and an opportunity for a QB will reveal itself. Don't give away the farm. We're going to have an opportunity at the 8th pick, so hold and wait unless we have a fair deal. Don't get stupid with everything on the line. Calm down. Wait.
  4. If I had to guess, I would say Rhule is in Fitterer's ear daily squawking about finding a franchise QB. Rhule is probably in a panic because he knows now that he shouldn't have hitched his wagon to Teddy. Now Fitterer is under the gun and feeling Rhule's stress. The thing is that Fitterer needs to be smart and make the correct decisions no matter Rhule's worried squawking. Rhule has told previous coaches "this may be your last day with us" when he becomes emotionally upset, but Fitterer needs to relax and be smart. Under no circumstances should we trade away the future for a QB like Wilson who is physically unimpressive. We need to stay put and limit our risk to an 8th round pick only.
  5. We could have played this correctly and had a top 3 pick, but Rhule wanted Teddy. Now he doesn't want Teddy. Welp there is a price to pay for making mistakes, and that price is potentially QB limbo. Now the new GM has to solve Rhule's blunder. How to find a better QB than Teddy without giving away a kings ransom and hamstringing the team for multiple seasons? If I'm Fitterer, then I'll stay put and wait for Trey Lance to fall into our lap. Yes Trey is risky, but he has a cannon arm and can run like a beast. We need to take a risk now because of Rhule, so the risky plan goes into place. Rhule made his blunder, the donkey is out of the barn, and now comes risk to save the team from mediocrity. I think Fitterer will wait for Trey at 8th, and that is the right move. We only risk the 8th pick, and the reward is a potential franchise QB. Good move if he plays his cards right.
  6. Oh ok I thought we were offering 2 first rounders. That wasn't too bad.
  7. Even when Smith was at the end of his rookie contract and wanting a new big payday he caught wind of someone involved in the contract negotiations calling him an "unproven" WR. He was furious about this comment and went on a rant. Many sports media talking heads acknowledged that Smith was a good WR, but doubted if he was worth top dollar at the time. I am sure Cully had no idea what danger he was in by dismissing Smith as belonging with the special teams unit. Smith gave Ken Lucas a terrible beating for unclear reasons during a lull practice, so anyone could become a target and it didn't much to set Smith off.
  8. To not land a QB in this draft would be a pretty hard blow to this franchise. The Falcons taking Trey Lance with the 4th pick would be an all time shocking draft moment for me.
  9. Fitterer looking for QBs to show Rhule how hard he works.
  10. Watching Wentz look totally clueless and confused to the point of not belonging in the NFL at all was just jarring. The Eagles coaching staff was in shock at seeing Wentz playing like a high school QB. Yes Fitterer put the phone down.
  11. Praying for a poop QB to suddenly play better because he has a new jersey and a worse team is so sad. It's a wrap. We're not doing that for sure.
  12. So long as Fitterer isn't calling up begging for him.
  13. Rock bottom standards for sports journalism allows for a free for all in reporting.
  14. As we know sports journalism is a joke, and CMC has had enough. Christian McCaffrey corrects ESPN reporter: ‘Don’t speak for me to make a story’ https://www.yahoo.com/sports/christian-mccaffrey-corrects-espn-reporter-222242422.html
  15. Let's trade the Pats Teddy. Get on the horn Fitterer.
  16. If we trade for Jimmy then it's a wrap for the next couple of seasons. Just play this on a loop whenever the Panthers play.
  17. You can't make terrible mistakes when your team is already terrible. We have to make smart moves from here on out just to dig ourselves out of being a bad team. More bad decisions will result in a multi-season losing record. We lucked out that the horrific Stafford deal didn't go through, but if our G is lining up a Jimmy G deal then we're in real trouble.
  18. If we trade for Jimmy then our GM is a proven moron, and the next couple of seasons will not be worth watching.
  19. Our new GM was ready and poised to get us absolutely wrecked on a terrible deal on par with what the WFT was offering for Stafford, but we were saved by the Rams. In short our new GM doesn't make winning deals for us, he gives up the farm and we get screwed. So a swap involving Jimmy and Teddy would result in us giving SF extra things, and us getting nothing but Jimmy.
  20. I don't think this is true. Having said that, if this is true then our GM is really annoying for me as a fan. This pointless trade would change nothing for our team, but it could be another example of our new GM sniffing into any damn little option possible like a forest pig searching for truffles. I wish our new GM would stop trying to prove how hard he works and start succeeding in snagging players who would actually improve our team.
