  1. True. Where are you? I am in Kuwait and it's morning here but you normally comment on my takes when I post. Do you live outside the U.S. or work night? Or just have no life and stay on here all the time. (JOKE)
  2. Christensen may start and Brown may be the first one off the bench when someone goes down. Our draft picks are looking solid.
  3. It's a bit disheartening that we aren't scoring on every drive but I think this preseason more than any other preseason is about evaluating the bottom half of our roster. I thought our depth played well against Indy but not so much last night. I think the brightest part of preseason is that just about every draft pick has flashed some ability to play in this league. That makes watching preseason bearable.
  4. 1. TB, Carolina and Seattle are the most anemic offenses in the league. 2. Buffalo, Miami, Tennessee and Denver are offensive Juggernauts. 3. Houston, NYJ and LV are highly competitive and will be in playoff contention. This is exactly why you should NOT be overly concerned that we didn't win our game last night. Coaches are more about evaluating players than they are concerned about winning a meaningless game. We knew it was going to happen last week. No matter how well Darnold did in his one series. Half the Huddle was going to pick one throw or missed throw and determine Darnold is garbage or HOFer. Mostly the former. Just relax folks. The line shuffling will start to slow down these next two weeks and for better or worse we will have our starting 5 on the O-line. Brady will have his starting 5 on the O-line. He'll also have a drool bucket to contain himself from all the weapons he has at his disposal. Rhule, Snow and Brady will actually sit down on 6 September and start building a game plan for the Jets.
  5. We start Jordan Gross at RT his rookie season. Smart move.
  6. This was my thought as well. Actually he was playing against most of the #1s.
  7. He's in a good place. He is rolling 21-0 with the Buffalo offense against the Bears #1 defense. Pretty impressed. Buffalo is going to be tough this year.
  8. The O-line. I believe starting next week heading into the final preseason game we are going to put our best 5 out there. This is the last week we juggle the line. So it will be interesting to see who steps up to be that starting 5.
  9. We decided to cut loose Cam after a couple of years worth of shoulder injuries. Dallas has decided to hang in there with Dak. You reap what you sow. Sadly, they gave him a new contract so they'll be stuck with him for a couple more years hoping and praying he gets back to his old ways. You put the best 53 on the field. It isn't our problem that they won't have their star.
  10. It shouldn't be overlooked that he had a career year playing with Melo. He did well when he was out but Melo puts him in position to shoot wide open three's because of his playmaking ability. This is a good sign for Charlotte. You can't keep letting good players go to other teams and expect to ever get out of the cellar in the NBA.
  11. Not trying to dish Kai at all but most of his highlights are dunks. I the NBA you aren't going to get to the rim like he did in college and the summer league. I think he needs a year in the G League. If you start him with the big boys he's going to lose confindence in a hurry. G League bound to build skill and confidence.
  12. I can agree with most of this but I think we split, at minimum, with New Orleans. 11-6
  13. 0 for 0. All running plays. The conspiracy theories about Brady and Rhule trying to hide Darnold's abilities will begin. Truthfully, 5-7 85 yards 1 TD to Marshall.
  14. I think the O line is a work in progress but if we have to remember we have probably the best check down back in the NFL. He can help offset a sub-average O-line.
  15. Darnold is definitly a dark horse but if he leads this team to a playoff berth He'll at least be in the conversation. He has many weapons and if he utilizes them, he has a chance. Small but not out of the question.
  16. Agreed but Moton is at minimum mediuim, Chinn is high and the only reason is Horn is low is because he is a rookie. I also want to add Darnold. If he utilizes his weapons and limits the mistakes he will be in the conversation.
  17. Just put him in the HOF already. I'm sick of listening to the talking head rave about him. He's good but he isn't the second coming.
  18. You know it may sound trivial but I like it. It's embarassing that a pro player has to run a lap but it takes them back to a time where you need to concentrate on what you are doing. These guys get paid to play but sometimes they forget the fundementals. I love it.
  19. I was so excited when we drafted him. I truly thought being under the wing of Greg Olsen he was going to become a star. He has never step up and done anything. A play here and there to tease us but for the most part he's been non existent. I would rather see Fitterer get a low round pick for him but based on the talent we have at TE. He's #4. Trade or Cut.
  20. I believe he's done and hope Fitterer can find a trade partner.
  21. I would almost bet that the RedHogs are one of the finalist. I saw where that was popular because back in their glory days their offensive line was called the hogs. Plus many fans to this day wear those hog noses to the games. Brigade and Commanders are probably my favorites.
  22. I don't post here much (mostly Panther forum) but after watching some of the summer league games and some YouTube comments LiAngelo. I think he's for real. The Hornet Summer team was a bunch of players trying to show off. There was little to no passing to the open guy. LiAngelo consistently was TRYING to play team ball. Go watch the videos of him during these games you'll see what I mean. Bouknight was abysmal. Terrible shot selection, wasn't looking for the open man, turnover after turnover and did nothing to impress me. I'm not worried though, once he gets to training camp he'll be reared in. Ball may not be a starter or even a major contributor but IMO he has the skills and toughness to play in this league. I also would not look past the Ball combination. LeMelo is amazing at finding the open man and big brother knows this. Plus LeMelo knows when the ball is in his hand if LiAngelo isn't standing wide open for a three he'll be cutting to the basket. Don't underestimate this combo. The videos mention that he can guard 1 through 4. I hope he makes the team. If they got all three Ball's what fun it would be.
