  1. Bradberry had zero Pro Bowls but was a Pro Bowl caliber DB. Just because he didn't make the squad doesn't mean he didn't have a good year. Denver may not have used him to his strength. They were just as bad as we were. I think the addition of Bouye is going to be great. Granted it won't be until game three. I also believe Pride will be better too. We'll have a real offseason this year and with his experience from last year Pride our CB group is starting to look promising.
  2. Wouldn't that be awesome. I can understand why C. Samuel would want him. He was Bridgewater's go to guy on 3rd down.
  3. Thanks for the post. There are many on here that believe that this was a terrible trade. I'm not one of them. I think the change of scenery and our coaching staff will help him. They won't baby him and will expect him to improve but I think Darnold is excited about this and will come in guns a blazing. When I was younger, I was a Johnny Unitas fan and never understood why the Colts didn't put him in at the beginning of the 2nd half of Super Bowl 3. It's sad to think that it's been over 50 years since the Jets have smelled the Super Bowl. I wish you guys luck with Wilson. I think he'll be the real deal. I just hope your new coach protects him because they damn sure didn't protect Darnold. It's great to get your perspective on Darnold and believe he'll succeed. Maybe your input will help ease the mind of so many that hated this trade. Thanks and Good Luck Go Jets Beat the Patriots.
  4. Of course, the battle to grab those 5 QBs is going to be intense. If the 5 go before 8 that means only 4 other blue chip players will be off the board. We may not benefit with a QB but we will definitely benefil with a STUD.
  5. The problem is, that every team from 4 to 7 have the potential to trade back. 1 - 3 are for sure taking a QB and the possibility of two QBs falling to 8 but someone is going to convince 4 thru 7 to trade down.
  6. Fill out the 90 man roster with as many potential sleepers we can.
  7. And if Darnold plays well in 2021 we could trade him for a 3rd and make up for some of that lost draft capital.
  8. I think the deal is a good one and a smart gamble by our front office. 3 Questions 1. Who was the head coach for the Miami Dolphins when Ryan Tannehill was their QB? Answer Adam Gaze 2. Who was the head coach for the NY Jets when Sam Darnold was their QB? Answer Todd Bowles 2018/ Adam Gaze 2019-2020 3. What happened to the QB for the Miami Dolphins, when Gaze was the head coach, once he was traded to Tennessee? Answer Pro Bowl level QB. I'll take my chances that Gaze had more to do with Darnold's failures and that lightning will strike twice once Darnold leaves NYJ. Excuse me Frank Reich but we're going to borrow your old number.
  9. Trade down to the Patriots @ 15 and their 46 pick . They can get WR help for Cam. We take the top CB available and use our two 2nd round picks for the best available OT at 39 and draft Creed Humphrey at 46.
  10. I'm with @Mage You usually have great takes and I value your opinion. But like Mage I don't see a better option. If we trade up we are going to lose this years 1st, next years first and possibly 2023 first year pick just because of the desire to move up to get one of the remaining questionable QBs. IMO it's going to be Lance or Fields. Both have huge question marks on whether they will be suitable QBs in the NFL not to mention franchise QBs. The 4th and the 6th rounders are very easy to swallow and we are only talking one valuable 2nd rounder. I can only assume that the Panthers do not want to gamble that much draft capital and the Darnold trade was a better option. I posted in another thread 4 takes from people at NFL Network and all 4 say the same thing. Darnold had little help in NYJ and poor coaching. He has the tools to succeed. We should be thankful that we didn't trade for Watson before his legal issues came up. We would have been without draft capital and our new QB. There have been several QBs to move from their original team and succeeded including three HOFers (Steve Young, Curt Warner and Brett Favre) and future HOFer Drew Brees and also include Jake Delhomme and Ryan Tannehill. Not trying to be condescending but we know your hatred of the deal. What would you rather us do? and why?
  11. Nowhere is it written that if either fall to 8 we don't take him. IMO this will be a historic draft. 4 QBs in the first 4 picks. Regardless of who is left (Fields, Lance or Jones) someone is going to trade up ahead of us to grab that last QB. Supposedly, we are picking up his 5th year option. Two years to evaluate. If he sucks at the end of 2 years we'll have Bridgewater off the books and a fresh start. If he plays well next year we sign him to a long term contract.
  12. I just watched a couple of videos from NFL Network and all of them say the same thing. Darnold had poor coaching and no talent around him. If we address our O-line in this draft he'll have protection and talent around him. After watching these videos I believe Darnold is going to excel in Carolina. Battista seems to know her stuff about the Jets and I enjoyed her take. NFL Network's Kurt Warner: 'Can't say I'm fully surprised' the Carolina Panthers traded for quarterback Sam Darnold NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport: Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule has been a 'huge fan' of quarterback Sam Darnold since interviewing for New York Jets job NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah: Quarterback Sam Darnold trade is a 'win-win-win' for QB, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets NFL Network's Judy Battista: Former New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will have a 'better chance at success' in Carolina
  13. My 2 cents. The chances of us adding one of the top 5 rookie QBs was very slim. Too many teams in front of us were willing to trade down which meant we would have to give up high value picks to move up including next year's first. Especially Atlanta who would either want all our picks until 2025 or intentionally trade down to ensure we lost one of these QBs. Meaning 4 QBs off the board before any other position is selected. That leaves Jones, Fields or Lance left depending on what SF does and still 4 spots to go. I don't know the what Rhule and Co. thought of the draft picks but personally I wasn't overly excited about any of the picks outside of Lawrence and Wilson. Intrigued yes, overly excited no. Had we selected any of them I would have trusted the management. Darnold has not had the best of starts in his career but he's talented and we basically have 2 years to figure him out. 2019 wasn't great for him but it wasn't garbage as many have stated. Nearly 62% completions. 19 TDs 13 ints. In his 2nd year with minimal talent around him. We have CMC, DJ and Anderson to help. We've added a couple of TEs that could help or maybe we draft Pitts. I think once he nails a couple of deep passes to Moore and Anderson the hate will go away. Plus he has some connections with Anderson. Draft capital value is diminished if it isn't for this year. Basically making them wait a full year to get their money back. So a 3rd or 4th this year is a 2nd next. We get the opportunity to utilize our full draft picks. I believe we have a 6th round compensation pick this year. I think the key to this trade will be how well we nail this draft. If we hit on our top 4 like we did last year. Our O-line should be better. That's providing they stick to their plan on drafting offensive players especially Linemen.
  14. There isn't one statement that has been said that we won't address the QB spot as well. There are several latter round QBs out there that could surprise us. You can easily switch this around and say glad we didn't take QB-2 because he sucks. Hindsight is 20/20.
  15. If one of them fell to the 2nd round I would be shocked.
  16. That's BS. She claimed shyt that were blatantly false. Her entire story was BS. ' You go ahead and believe your theory.
  17. He raped her. Just about everything she spewed out of her mouth was a lie. Did you not follow the hearing?
  18. In the court of public opinion. So you're ok with the fact that at defense will not give a list of the women accusing him. I
  19. Exactly!!!! Kavanaugh was able to defend himself and knew his accuser. They were able to show that her story was fabricated. The difference between Kavanaugh and Watson is that these women are hiding behind a lawyer that wants him convicted before there ever is a trial. Reveal the names and let the defense and do their background check. It's appalling that so many on here are ready to convict just because there are several women making the accusation. Once again, I am not saying he is innocent but I am saying they need to allow his lawyers do their due diligence and investigate their backgrounds and come to the truth.
  20. You can't believe either side. You have to let the facts make the case. I am not going to believe a woman who is afraid to reveal her name even in confidentiality to the man you are accusing. @Snake Let me ask you this. If a woman came in here and said you sexually assaulted her. Are we supposed to ban you until you are proven innocent or are we supposed to get the facts and make a decision after all the facts are in. We can't as a society just assume that because a woman or women come out and make a claim against a person. The case must unfold and both sides need to investigate a prove their case. I don't know whether he did it or not. What I find extremely unfair is that so many women came out in 2+ weeks and not a one of them has given their name. To me they are hiding something.
  21. IMO this is the No 1. reason why the names are being withheld. It will be interesting to see how many of these women have had sex with their customers or offered a "Happy Ending" to their massage. Also this would give a valid reason why there were so many? While I am certain that many women are professional and keep their sexual life out of their profession. There are many that use the job title as a way to lure men to pay for the additional service. Please don't tell me they don't exist because I have experienced the offer from this profession. I won't divulge in whether I accepted or not.
  22. Yes I agree. His takes were very unbiased and explained it well. Especially how he explained the difference between Mahomes arm and Wilson's arm. If it is Fields that drops to us we need to be certain we aren't getting, as I stated before, Colin Kaepernick 2.0.
