I'll just leave this here.
-
I'd rather have drafted Josh Downs than have either one of them, since neither is a true 1. At least Downs gets open.
-
Dat azz is particularly flat. Why would you use a meme with a guy with a level. You're not dating her for her .

Kelce showing out for Taylor.
-
Kelce is open more than any TE I've ever seen.

Not really. He was simply rooting for the kid and took a personal stock in him. Y'all keep on saying this, but I don't see it. He explained himself---what and why he called Jeudy over, and then he reported what happened. And, finally, he ended on a pointed analysis of Jeudy's problem with criticism (which has been documented). Dude, he thought Mingo had some upside, especially with contested balls. He was high on D.J. Moore Still the hate for 89, I see. Nobody ever had to criticize Smith for having a bad work ethic. He may have been criticized, but never for being a standout receiver. Jeudy needs criticism, and he's gotten it twice this week from two pretty good ex-football players, one a legend.
-
Sh¡¡¡¡t, I benched his ass in fantasy in favor of Josh Downs. Jeudy ain't done a damn thing this season. Downs about to go off with Minshew.
-
I thought that it was very apropos. It's not like he hit Jeudy. Furthermore he basically said that Jeudy can't take criticism. I guess Schlereth was unprofessional too.
-
So Jeudy has been slammed by Mark Schlereth and murdered by Agent 89 within the span of three days. He's got to be doing wrong things.
-
There will be no "black on black crime"
-
Damn! Jerry Jeudy should know that alienating Steve Smith is not the way to go. Well, his elevator obviously doesn't go to the penthouse, or the second floor really. He should probably just get used to the doghouse.

Would you be interested in Bill Belichick?
top dawg replied to Teddy2SuperBowlHeartBreaks's topic in Carolina Panthers
As a coach maybe, but I wouldn't let him make any personnel decisions, not one. -
You're right, but the big QB argument was never a real point of contention for me, at least in terms of being a deciding factor. Now I'd be lying if I wasn't a little concerned about Bryce's ability to see throwing lanes, but in the end I couldn't overlook all of his success in college. All that being said, I could see the benefits in Stroud also. He was more of a prototypical size, and a helluva passer. As for Richardson, I just didn't want him because he wasn't a particularly accurate passer, and he relied on his feet way too much in my opinion. I love Cam, but didn't want to relive Cam 2.0. But honestly, my posts weren't about my preference, but the preference of many in NFL circles. I always said that they had to get it right, and five games in people are rushing to judgment. What I don't like is how people are assuming that Bryce can't hack it, much less thrive in the NFL, and I think that there was a little CYA going on with Reich at this point also, which may make him ill-suited to actually bring out the best in Bryce Young.

I'm not necessarily saying that it outright negates what you said, but You mentioned faulty logic, old reports, and the "lying season." For me, the reports aren't really old, and even if you consider them old, that doesn't mean they weren't and aren't correct even at this time. For some, and Frank could have easily been one of them before the owner got into his ear, a tiny QB was, and is a "reach," particularly for a day one pick, and certainly too much to trade the farm for. Mind you, I haven't given up on Bryce, I'm just saying that he absolutely was considered a reach by some, despite his college accolades, and that you just can't discount the connection of the stories about Reich really wanting Stroud out of hand (particularly in light of his refusal to do much more than run-run-screen).

Albert Breer on Reich, Tepper, Fitterer and Ben Johnson
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, he hasn't even proven that he can manage the clock effectively, much less players. And clock and player management speak directly to situational football which he appears not to have mastered notwithstanding his many years of experience in the NFL. -
I agree, but what I'm saying is that Bryce's size was a hard sell to many, despite being a former Heisman winner, national champion, and otherworldly processor.
-
I doubt that it's that easy. Reich used the term "challenging."
-
It's a good idea, provided that Colbert would do it. My preference is still Jim Harbaugh though, provided that he would do it. We'll never know, but during their meeting, I suspect that Tepper was thinking, "This crazy weirdo thinks he's gonna come in and tell me what to do?" Simultaneously, Harbaugh was thinking, "This crazy fuger doesn't know poo about running a football team, and he's going to interfere with my process at every turn." Hence, the Tepper-Harbaugh meeting was about as short with as little information leaked as I've ever seen in those situations.

Let's not act like Bryce isn't abnormally small for a QB. He's historically small. Perhaps the "big QB" thing meant "just not a little guy" as opposed to Cam Newton, Big Ben, or Josh Allen. I'd say that ~6'2" and 220 isn't necessarily a big QB, but a normal one within an NFL context. https://hortonbarbell.com/average-height-and-weight-of-nfl-quarterbacks/

Reich isn't absolved of playing his part. Neither is Fitterer, and neither is Tepper. $20000 question: how the hell is all this mess going to be addressed? We know Tepper isn't going anywhere, so people may as well stop saying it. Perhaps the criticism will make him reassess and step back a little.
-
You may be right, but there was evidence before Reich's presser---some of it months before---that he liked QBs with size. So, no, Tepper may not have made the pick, but his pressure basically made Reich cave, and Reich should have never done that. My thing is, is that this has to be having an effect upon Reich's coaching, or lack there of, and that he just isn't doing his best job because he doesn't believe in the little fella. As such, he's not the right coach for Bryce and needs to be axed forthwith in order to marry Bryce with someone that actually believes in him. As of now, everything I've seen seems so uncharacteristic of the QB that I saw in college, and, yes, I know that the NFL is not college, but still...it seems like what we're seeing is more akin to a fait accompli due to Reich's unbelief than it is about maximizing Young's talent. Just the way I see it. I could be wrong, but, at the end of the day, Tepper's presence and input seems to be way too much. And, minus Young, I still am highly skeptical of Reich's run-run-pass, 1980s playbook, as well as his dismal personnel decisions and situational play calling on game days.

A host on Lions flagship radio proposes Williams + first for Burns
top dawg replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd be OK with it, but I'd rather have Williams. Young receivers with first round talent are a great commodity in the NFL if they work out. RBs, even talented ones, come much easier, and a run game can be executed with mid level talents, and by committee. Lastly, we'd miss the benefit of familiarity which can be kinda underrated if you look at Hurts and Smith as well Tua and Waddle. That familiarity angle is why I also proposed trying to acquire Metchie. -

For the record, I wasn't in that camp. Relatively low risk-high reward trades don't bother me at all. -
McDaniel: Bryce is a baller with a bright future
top dawg replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unlike some, I will tell you that it's way too soon to write the Book of Bryce. Sure, the first chapter has begun ugly, but it's not unlike the opening of so many good books.
