Keep Cam Newton as starter. Draft Aqeel Glass to groom over 2 to 3 seasons. Build a team around them that a SB winning QB may want to step in and take over at. That will solve the QB problem and give you a QB that can take you through the playoffs. OL is not difficult to solve either. Moton and Christensen stay at OT. Need leadership. Draft Tyler Linderbaum for C and OL leader. Draft Zach Tom, also a leader, for Starting G and backup C. Let Linderbaum and Tom make the OL calls. Sign Trai Turner in free agency. LT Christensen, LG Turner, C Linderbaum, RG Tom, RT Moton. Deonte Brown hopefully can stay in shape to be a top backup at G and T. RB CMC, re-sign Abdullah, and draft Leddie Brown. Hubbard can be #4 if there is room. WR. Good at complimentary receivers. Need a #1 receiver. Sign Sammy Watkins, Christian Kirk, and Chris Conley to pair with DJ and Robby. Draft Jaquarii Roberson and Reggie Roberson Jr. TE. Trade for Hunter Henry, sign David Njoku, sign Jesse James, Tremble for depth. Don't worry, I never get my way. Rhule will see to that.

Cam Newton is without a doubt a QB who can get you to the playoffs. He has proven that multiple times. Anyone who doubts that would likely think a 1st round rookie QB would be better at competing in the playoffs than Cam. History proves that is a crap shoot and you have to greatly limit your playbook unless you win the QB lottery. You'll lose more than you win with that lottery. Cam has about 3 to 5 more years in him. He is better than many of the starters who are bringing their teams down. But I'm sure fans will rather put their hopes on a 1st round QB like Sam Darnold, Trey Lance, Dwayne Haskins, Josh Rosen, Daniel Jones, or Mitchell Trubisky. When you have a playoff proven QB, you ride them until you have a replacement who steps in to prove they can win in the playoffs or you can land a SB winning QB.

At least the Panthers led 7 - 3 before 2 minutes to go in the first half. It's working. We just can't see it yet.

Are the Darnold fans still pulling for him to be a franchise QB? Rhule just wants something to hang his hat on. We all know what to expect and it is worse than what we had with Bridgewater.
