  1. And yet if Thielen catches that it's a great pass. You have to just acknowledge it was great play on defense.
  2. It's likely the line will be a lot better next year with Christensen at LT and Icky at LG (which is how I see it playing out). I don't see them taking OL in the 2nd or 3rd and they will most likely use free agency for some depth guys on the line. I think the first pick will be a TE or WR, dependant on if Bowers is there. That's how I'd go as well.
  3. Chubba has been running all over them. It should've been two running plays when it was 3rd and 1. That was terrible playcalling.
  4. Fitterer will be gone at some point too, as will the rest of the coaches because chances are any new GM will want his own guys. For that reason it doesn't really matter that Evero gets the interim job or not, he likely won't be here whatever happens.
  5. Get rid of Reich. Some of the situational playcalling is beyond bad, nevermind the offensive scheme as a whole.
  6. Not really sure that's what he's doing. It's more an admission that they all completely misjudged the ability of the guys up front to pass protect. Reich came in and implemented his usual offense and the personnel hasn't fit. Do we really think Reich wanted to come here and be a run heavy team?
  7. Especially when you take into account that the performances in every game have been bad/very bad. There's not one thing where you can say it's worth letting it play out because we've seen glimpes of potential.
  8. This is why Tepper has to act and Dutch Reich. He has a lot invested in Young in terms of draft capital. He has to give it a fair shake for at least one more year with a coordinator who'll create an offence to suit the QB. If he looks poo after that then you have to rip it up and start again in the 2025 draft.
  9. Reich needs to be fired. He was sold as an offensive guru and QB whisperer and both facets of the team have been terrible. Our very good OLine from one year ago has regressed to the point of being worst in the league because said offensive guru has gone with a scheme that exposes their deficiencies. Young will get at least another season because we don't have another 1st round pick, so whoever comes in will likely be told they get a pass next year no matter the results and if Young doesn't pan out year 2 they can have their QB in the 2025 draft.
  10. Ordinarily that's what should happen but it makes no difference with the Panthers. Tepper wants to be involved in every process and the GM will not have sole control over these decisions. We are stuck with a billionaire owner thinking he can apply his business acumen to a sports franchise.
  11. Sanders killed that drive. The guy shouldn't even be on the field, he is rubbish.
  12. Nobody open there but he needs to learn to throw it away.
  13. Sounds good but the reality is they will have two picks in the top 5 and can have their pick of the top rushers in next year's draft. There's no need for them to make a trade like that.
  14. I don't really have a problem with trading for guys if the deal is right. We used a second rounder on TMJ and he hasn't ever got over 500 yards so it doesn't really make sense to me to be against giving up a 3rd or 4th rounder for someone like Jeudy who has had 900 yards (give or take) a couple of times. That's not to say I want Jeudy because there's clearly some issues there and his salary is probably more than you'd want to pay, but generally speaking trading for that sort of standard of player wouldn't be an issue for me. What are the chances of getting a 900 yards receiver with a 3rd round pick in the draft?
  15. Makes the next few weeks interesting at least. If the offense gets better and we manage to win 5 or 6 games between now and week 17 some big decisions will need to be made at the end of the season. Brown likely gets interest for HC vacancies in that scenario and they'll need to decide if they're going to part ways with Rice in order to keep Brown.
  16. He was fine today. Had some good throws into tight windows, had some bad throws and managed to not turn the ball over. I like to look at the whole situation in the context of him playing on a team with one good WR and a banged up offensive line. Far from an ideal situation for a rookie QB.
  17. You're 0-5, 21-14 down and you've got 3 timeouts and 4th and 1 near the red zone with 30 seconds of the half left. You should never in any circumstance be settling for a FG there.
  18. They looked better against Seattle because Reich altered the playbook per Dalton's request. Reich confirmed that in one of his press conferences. It seems a bit harsh to criticise Young for our limited playcalling in games he has started if it's by design.
  19. Why on earth should they do that? The season is a write-off. We need to use the remaining games to give Young as many reps as possible. The whole sitting him to shadow a vet ship sailed long ago.
  20. Ordinarily I'd say it's too early for a coach only 5 games into his tenure to get the boot, but considering he was hired as an offensive guru and considering how turgid and ill-disciplined this offense is, Reich doesn't really have a leg to stand on. He should be gone.
  21. Looking back on it, the comments from Tepper about not needing elite receiver's are outrageous. The way he throws the ball, the way he’s a point guard, how you can use the different players on the field, how you might not have to have as many elite receivers because he’s the point guard, right? So he distributes the ball to people with routes. So we can save some money there, we can save money in other places and put that money on the defensive side of the ball. Young never stood a chance with these guys thinking you can give him some JAG receivers and put points on the board.
