  1. I think we badly need a centre more than anything to be honest. As bad as the left side has been, Paradis might be the worst one out there
  2. A linebacker can only be so good if the players around him aren’t good. We saw that with Luke near the end when our D started to tail off. Shaq then was left with that same defense for the bulk of his career. Now that the talent on defense has greatly improved Shaq is able to play his position and not try to do too much/overcompensate.
  3. Meh… A lot of what we’re doing now is due to the fact that Jaycee can float out blanket guys. Snow can bring pressure from the back end knowing a guy like Jaycee can hold his own. Same applies to Jackson being healthy so far this year as well. Last year Sow wasn’t able to a lot of things because guys like Douglas, Pride and whoever else we trotted out there couldn’t cover a pylon. It’ll change things and if it doesn’t, teams will attack us through the air. A guy like Melvin is a sitting duck back there in coverage. They truly need to be doing whatever it takes to get Sherman in that building today
  4. The domino effect this is going to have on the defense is going to be big
  5. There’s going to come a time when we’re playing from behind and he’s asked to make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t and that crowd will sadly jump all over that. I actually hope he does go throw some growing pains with this team this season. Just for his development sake. Sam ain’t broken. This is his first year actually learning how to play QB. So far he’s been great. At the end of day he’s already proven that he can play. He’s 24. A year younger than Josh Allen and 2 years younger than Baker Mayfield. I actually thought we were toast when CMC went down. Just because so much of the game plan revolves around him and to change that mid game is tough. Sam came out in the second half an area where we’ve struggled and balled the hell out.
  6. His athleticism is extremely overlooked. Some of these throws he makes on these roll outs while moving are insane. The one to Erickson travelled 25 yards in the air from where Darnold actually threw the ball.
  7. Actually, this may have been his best throw of the night… The timing/anticipation of this throw is perfect. Protect Sam at all costs and this man can flat out ball
  8. The ball he threw to Erickson on the roll out was stupid good. Then he hung in there and took a huge lick on that 3rd down completion to Marshall. Give this man a OL and we have a franchise QB. It’ll get ugly with our OL when we have to play from behind but Sam has shown he is more than capable of being a legit QB in this league
  9. Our OL is f*cking horrendous. For the sake of Sam’s development they need to figure something out. Sam deserves some serious credit for tonight’s win
  10. He’s so hesitant. Looks like he’s more worried about screwing up than actually running forward
  11. At the end of the day it’s pretty damn tough to win without an OL. They can’t run block worth poo. They can’t get out and block on screens worth poo. And they sure as hell can’t pass protect worth poo. Its really too bad. Because otherwise this team is really damn solid
  12. So does this loss count? After reading the huddle the first two week it seemed like our wins didn’t count because of injuries. Bout to lose Horn and CMC… Thats a season changer
  13. Annnnnnnnnd this is why you don’t complain about beating teams with injuries
  14. STOP RUNNING THE BALL UP THE MIDDLE. IT DOESNT WORK
  15. Yeah the Decker thread makes sense. This thread is just dumb
  16. Decker is on IR. He got hurt in practice just before week 1. However Sewell has been playing very well at LT so they may actually end up moving Decker to RT. Who knows but it’s definitely worth a call
  17. “He now has the personnel to be as creative as he wants” Again, like I’ve said this is a big reason why Jaycee was such a good pick. The lack of talent in our secondary last year really limited Snow in what he could call.
  18. Was going to be my exact response as well haha
  19. It‘s like they had a plan. Even told everyone it wouldn’t happen overnight. We’re only in year 2. I thought best case scenario this would be a 3 year rebuild with year 4 (2023) being the first year that we’d be competitive with the goal being a wildcard berth. It’s looking like next year might actually be our first year that we hope to make the playoffs. Would be pretty impressive given 95% of this board agreed we had the leagues worst roster prior to last season.
  20. I’m guessing we’ll see something similar to what we saw against the Jets. With Jaycee and Jackson getting looks at both Davis and Moore depending on coverages/scheme. If Snow prefers to shadow Cooks with a specific CB I’m thinking Horn is the better option.
  21. I won’t ever be able to look at Rhule the same if we lose to this guy on Thursday and I think the world of Matt Rhule as a HC.
  22. It is different. Last year the lack of talent in our secondary really handcuffed Snow. I cannot stress that enough.
