He really side stepped a lot of the important stuff when answering the questions. This was one of the more enjoyable interviews I’ve watched in a long time I hope they keep Matthews. He seems like a really good dude that could help out a lot of the young guys on this roster This teams isn’t going anywhere this year so using a roster spot on Matthews isn’t a waste. This team could really use his veteran presence

I went and watched his high school highlights the other day. Bryce was a legit dual threat QB and was able to out athlete guys. His HS highlights are special Then at Bama that dual threat was no longer. As guy were more athletic. The throws became less special. Bryce has been trending the wrong direction and at this level his size has finally caught up to him. For me it was the fact he showed up this year without looking like he did much working out this offseason. Like you said I think he knows he’s toast.

Stroud would’ve bought Reich a little more time for sure. Whether he would’ve lasted till the end of the season or halfway through year 2 who knows. As much as I love Stroud you can’t talk about what he’s doing without giving a lot of credit to Bobby Slowik. Slowik’s system would have just about anyone looking at the very least competent Bryce is limited as a QB but I’d be curious to see what his numbers would look like with Slowik

The ball was literally thrown out of bounds. Diontae had to lay out for a ball when he had a step on his guy. If he made the throw it would’ve been an easy completion Is it not crazy that that’s the best example of him “making” that throw you have? Look, I tried convincing myself Bridgewater was good enough, that Darnold was in a bad situation. Ive tried convincing myself after walking out of Atlanta last year week 1 that it wasn’t as bad as it looked… but cmon man. This hasn’t been good at all.
