  1. I agree, if that’s who you think you’re getting moving forward then you absolutely take him over Bryce
  2. Do we think Georgia Stroud is the Stroud we’re getting moving forward? He’s always shown flashes throughout games of being that player but never to that level. For every play he’s made with his legs there’s a few plays where his footwork goes out the window due to pressure. There’s 2 seasons worth of tape for them to look at and make a good enough guess as to who he’ll be moving forward. Stroud’s accuracy and ball placement is better than Young’s but that’s when there’s a clean pocket. Stroud was given a lot of space back there most plays, space he won’t have in the NFL often. I’m enjoying watching these two because I wasn’t leaning either way going into it. I started off wanting Stroud but I’m slowly wanting Bryce more now
  3. There’s a new test https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/03/21/nfl-s2-cognition-quarterbacks/ https://www.bleachernation.com/nfl/2023/02/25/one-test-hints-this-qb-class-is-exceptional-packers-coaches-skipping-the-combine-and-other-nfl-bullets/
  4. Honest question… If Ohio State wasn’t given that chance against Georgia, would many of you even be considering C.J. at 1? or where do you think C.J. would have been drafted if Michigan was his final college game?
  5. Even in that Michigan prior to the Georgia game there’s a significant difference in his footwork in the pocket with pressure. Georgia he legit didn’t give a f*ck and stood tall and stepped into his throws. Michigan he’s throwing fade aways. I wish McCown would’ve chosen a different game of his to breakdown. Would’ve been a hell of a lot more interesting
  6. I wonder what it would take for the Panthers to drop to 2. I can’t imagine Houston parts with that 12th pick to move up one spot but I also can’t imagine Carolina passing up on the guy they traded up to take for anything less
  7. Everyone and their dog has seen that Georgia game 1000 times. If that’s the Stroud we’re getting then yes, I’m taking him over Young but is that who we’re getting? There are 2-3 times each game he uses his legs and makes plays. If he ever started doing that consistently then oh boy
  8. Has there ever been a QB prospect that struggled with pressure in college but didn’t when they played in the NFL? Honest question because I feel like that would be a very tough area to improve in
  9. Go to the 6:08 mark. He only shows a few plays and if I knew how to make gifs and crap I’d do it myself but there’s more examples of this type of stuff if you watch all of his games Stroud has been my guy since day 1 but over the last few days this particular part of his game is starting to really worry me CJ Stroud stats vs pressure (2022): 5-2 TD-INT, 72.7 QB rating, 5.7 YPA CJ Stroud vs clean pocket (’22): 32-4 TD-INT, 134.7 QB rating, 10.2 YPA Bryce Young stats vs pressure (2021): 17-3 TD-INT, 100.8 QB rating, 7.9 ypa Bryce Young vs clean pocket (’21): 30-4 TD-INT, 134.7 QB rating, 9.3 ypa Bryce Young vs pressure (2022): 9-3 TD-INT, 95.2 QB rating, 9.3 ypa Bryce Young vs clean pocket (’22): 23-2 TD-INT, 122.9 QB rating, 8.5 ypa
  10. I really worry about Stroud’s ability to handle pressure Bryce has proven he can handle it
  11. Not sure if it’s been posted but Jesus Christ
  12. By far the best one I’ve seen. These are actually pretty damn good looking
  13. Yep these are awful. As much as we need a uniform refresh the majority of the teams we’ve seen unveil new uniforms lately have been terrible So I’m more nervous than I am excited to see what they do with ours
  14. I know everyone loves the Burrow comp for CJ due to his accuracy/ball placement but he’s Joe Cool for a reason… Right now, one of the more sought-after traits for a quarterback is the ability to create outside of the structure. Burrow is one of few collegiate quarterbacks to pass that with flying colors. When Burrow has been forced outside of the pocket (non-designed rollouts and scrambles), he is, once again, the nation's highest-graded quarterback and has an accurate-pass rate 13% higher than second place. If all that advanced data (that is found nowhere else in the world) didn’t convince you that Burrow is the best college quarterback in 2019 then maybe this will put it into perspective: Not only is he the highest-graded quarterback under pressure, but his grade under pressure is better than the clean-pocket grade of 84 FBS quarterbacks. Calling it insane is an understatement. He has thrown just one interception under pressure while throwing 15 touchdowns. Whether he is in a clean pocket or under duress, Burrow can quite literally do it all. https://www.pff.com/news/college-football-how-joe-burrow-and-the-lsu-offense-went-from-unknown-to-unstoppable
  15. I like both guys and will be happy with either but what scares me about each of them is: Stroud: I’ve preferred Stroud for the majority of time since making the trade. His ball placement and accuracy are the best in this class imo. I think he’s athleticism is slept on but will he ever take advantage of it consistently? When he’s pressured his footwork can go out the window and his accuracy goes with it. To me that’s worrisome at the next level. CJ Stroud stats vs pressure (2022): 5-2 TD-INT, 72.7 QB rating, 5.7 YPA CJ Stroud vs clean pocket (’22): 32-4 TD-INT, 134.7 QB rating, 10.2 YPA Young: Surprisingly not worried about his size as I believe he’ll eventually gain weight but for me it’s his arm strength. There are many times where he under throws his WR’s. Does he have enough juice in that arm to hit some of these outs/corners outside the numbers that need to be thrown on a rope? I don’t know. There’s just something about Bryce though, to me he has that “it” factor. If there’s 2 mins left and I needed a score, I’d choose Bryce Bryce Young stats vs pressure (2021): 17-3 TD-INT, 100.8 QB rating, 7.9 ypa Bryce Young vs clean pocket (’21): 30-4 TD-INT, 134.7 QB rating, 9.3 ypa Bryce Young vs pressure (2022): 9-3 TD-INT, 95.2 QB rating, 9.3 ypa Bryce Young vs clean pocket (’22): 23-2 TD-INT, 122.9 QB rating, 8.5 ypa
  16. The Miami Dolphins have a super clean uni If we go white helmet I’d like to see something similar. Blue and white uniforms become our primary uni’s with the black being the alternate with the black helmet Simply take the stripe off the shoulder. Make the logo on the sleeve larger. Number on shoulder pads larger That is it. Nothing fancy or stupid like Atlanta. Just a clean look that allows our nice colours do the work
  17. I’m going to assume the helmet will be white
  18. The Jets uniform design is awful. I hope that isn’t their definition of “modernization” and the Falcons uniforms are down right awful
  19. I agree I feel like they they needed a little silver on them to help make the blue really pop The Cardinals have apparently confirmed they’re getting new uniforms
