Realistic is this young defense was playing top 10 ranked football most of the season.. With better coaching (Wilkes, and Pascalil) on staff now they should be better.. Brown puts up similar to better numbers then Star and nobody called him a bust.. Add Idolnitiss to the interior now and you have a player who lead the league in interior pressure % 2 years ago.. YGM may not be a household name as a pass rusher but he definitely shown a strong ability at run stoppage.. If he can get past the minor injuries and get starter time I see a jump this season.. The secondary might be the strongest part of this team.. With Woods and Chinn backup by Burris you have 3 starting Safeties. .. The CB room is filled with a lot of young players who have been able to get starting playtime and should be stronger from that alone.. (Hartfield, Taylor, Westley, Henderson hell even Pride have gotten a chance to be thrown in the fire) now with wilkes back.. I don't see anything else but a big improvement this season.. Atleast we have more experience at LB then we had last season.. Hopefully they will add another player in a deep LB draft. I know you're trying to be realistic but if anything gives me hope it is this defense upward track...

I think Howell has more talent then Pickett, and Corral, .. And wouldn't mind a trade down more picks and scooping him in the 2nd round..

fug DKM and new Media YouTube idiots... Mitch just turned a 2nd round pick (Devante Graham) into a top 15 pick.. We have 2 picks this year in the top 15.. We've never had so much consistent success in drafting players as we had with Mitch.. And we are a vet coach and defensive Center with experience away from consistent playoff success..

Good he can be a bigger version of honey badger if you do the work and develop him....

Don't care what these Forum GM's and scouts think anymore at this point.. They've had to much time talking themselves into players and not recognizing it.. There is a established criteria and standards for drafting players.. 1. Physical talent 2. College Productions 3. Positional value 4. Readiness day 1 You can miss out on 1 of these but 2 or more and you shouldn't be a top 10 pick..

Because you have to add in college Productions (which isn't great) readiness to play day 1 (which isn't likely) and experience in a pro system (played in a Mickey mouse offense no experience in multiple reads system).. Just talking about physical skill is a recipe in drafting a bust..

Borrego had his faults and he fell into the trap where he is the developer coach and they need a different coach to take them to the next level.. He has taken them as far as he could... Matt Rhule just sucks...

You don't go wrong spending top 10 picks on the top value position (QB, LT, pass rusher)

That's great and all.. But I still would choose the player that "consistently" performs at a high level over the guy who did it 1 year.. If you have a company you're not hiring the guy who had 1 good month of sales over the guy who consistently produces sales every month...

I'm just saying if we're judging QB like we did back in the days... College Productions College film Physical skills Prove his ability thru adversity.. (no real pass targets and lost both his rbs) so Sam Howell runs for 800 yards and 11tds.. Nobody matches Sam's Resume in this draft..
