  1. I seriously do not understand what the Brenton Bersin hate is for. He's our #5 receiver. Hardly our biggest replacement priority.
  2. I thought he sucked and nobody would sign him?
  3. This time they have a rookie quarterback Derek Carr who played very, very well with awful receivers, as well as a very good defense. I'm by no means a Raiders fan, but if they can get some receivers and a marginally good running back, they can make a run in the AFC West.
  4. The Raiders actually have some very good pieces. They are on pace to be very good very soon.
  5. His winning percentage was one of the best in the league over the period.. and it would have easily been six playoff seasons (add in 2004 and 2007) if it weren't for injuries. Heck, we maybe could have made the playoffs in 2006 too. If you think the mid-2000s Panthers were below average you did not watch the Panthers during those years.
  6. Brentson Bucker (2001) - Came off a 7-sack season with San Francisco. Big-name signing. Stephen Davis (2003) - Two years off of leading the league in rushes, and four off of leading in touchdowns, and was on pace for 1,100 the year before signing. Mike Wahle (2005) - Longtime Green Bay starter. Big signing. Ken Lucas (2005) - Came off of a six-interception season. Big signing. Keyshawn Johnson (2006) - Not a big player, but a big name possession receiver. Justin Hartwig (2006) - Big-name center from a big team (Pittsburgh). That's six off the top of my head. We probably had a few more.
  7. Looks like literally everyone on the offense is on the trade block but Drew Brees and Brandin Cooks. This season is going to be so fun.
  8. Looks like paper bags will be back in season there.
  9. At this point, I'm going to trust Gettleman. Oher wasn't awful in Baltimore his first few years, and we have his old line coach. Maybe our other guys will pick up the slack.
  10. As a #2 Crabtree would be excellent. Definitely an upgrade over Cotchery.
  11. I was as critical of Gettleman as anyone last offseason and I don't see a big problem here. Last year cap space forced us to let loose many of our key players and replace them with rookies and scrubs - this year, we have all of our free agents of value back and we have fewer holes thanks to an impressive rookie class. We are improving. Right now, we're waiting for the initial insanity of free agency to wear off so we don't overpay on players. We'll go for some mid-level free agents, we won't overpay, and we'll have a better team than last year while everyone else in our division is backsliding. There is no need for cliff-jumping.
  12. People forget just how good Jake Long is when he's healthy. He was a four-time Pro Bowler and 2x All-Pro with Miami. By all means give him an offer, just not anything ridiculous and with only a bit of guaranteed money. If he bites, great.
  13. What dat at the bottom of the NFC South?
  14. Not a fan of this move. Even when he's healthy, Bradford isn't really better than Foles.
  15. Gentleman is in our nuclear bunker and will come out when everyone stops firing nukes.
  16. At least they got more from him than Greg Hardy
  17. Holy fug this is like the best offseason ever
  18. But Ted Ginn ain't no good as a receiver #STEPHENHILL2015
  19. Really I don't think Harper looked half bad the last part of the year. He played much better when we had our young rookies in there.
  20. That might actually be the case. This is from the article on the signing from Panthers.com: "When I walked off the field and Melvin (White) – one of my good friends – hit me and made me fumble, I knew right then and there that it was a possibility I would be playing in Bank of America Stadium again," Ginn said with a smile. "I just tried to put a return (in the Panthers') ear. If we get an opportunity, let's reunite."
  21. If you're seriously going to complain about our #5 receiver not being good enough I don't know how to help you.
  22. As a #4 or #5 receiver he's not a bad option.
  23. I knew he'd make the right decision. Welcome back Ted!
