  1. It's a good thing we have the best team in the division the Falcons playing for our playoff spot tomorrow. lol This one could get ugly.
  2. I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
  3. This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers. I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win. Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend. If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
  4. If Seattle loses they still finish with a better record than the Rams either way. If the Rams beat the Cardinals and the 49ers lose they both finish 12-5 and the Rams own the tiebreaker and would get the higher seed.
  5. It's hard to beat a good team twice though. I think Seattle is the overall better team of the two, but the circumstances I believe favors the Panthers in that matchup.
  6. Let's say we take care of business against the Bucs and/or the Falcons take care of the Saints and we lock that 4th seed for the playoffs. Who do we root for this Sunday in the NFC West matchup with Seahawks at San Francisco winner takes the NFC West division. A Seahawks win would mean we face the Rams at home or with a 49ers win we host the Seahawks again. Which opponent would most prefer? In the earlier Rams game we won primary due to turnovers specifically Mike Jackson pick-6 in combination with a good running game with Chuba and Rico whereas we kept the Rams offense off the field and Bryce was able to connect on two big 4th down throws for touchdowns. However when the Rams offense was on the field they pretty much got whatever they wanted, Williams and Corum gashed us in the run game, and we had no answer for Devonte Adams. Granted whe were missing some pieces on defense with Horn and Moehrig. Against Seattle our defense held it's own for the most part, it was our offense and turnovers which aided in the Panthers loss. Seattle was the most stingy, best tackling defense the Panthers have played all season, and when we turned Darnold over we didn't do much with it. The offense had no answers for what the defense was throwing at them and apparently were caught off guard by the amount of man coverage the Seahawks played. With all that who do you think would be the better matchup the 2nd time around? I trust Stafford far more than I do Darnold, both running games are on par with each other, of the defenses Seattle has the dominant unit. I personally prefer Seattle again, that would mark their 3rd consecutive road game, we've just played them, so we know exactly what to expect, and I feel Caneles should be able to come up with a better scheme to counteract what the Seahawks defense was doing, and we may be able to trip Darnold up, I don't want to try and win another shootout against the Rams.
  7. Krys Barnes looked solid in the game he started against the 49ers. So from Wallace to Cherelus to Barnes I don't think we lose too much
  8. TO and Moss are on Mount Rushmore along with Jerry Rice. I agree Steve Smith is on that lower tier not due to talent but circumstances, QB play, run heavy offense etc.. But I'm not taking none of those others guys on the tier with Smith before him in his prime. If he would been pitted with a Warner, Brees, Brady, records would have been broken. I hate we were robbed of that 2004 season, 2003 the year we went to the Super Bowl was his coming out party 2004 he was going to show the league he was the best in the game. I think in that first game against Green Bay he already had 6 catches before he broke his leg and it was still in the 1st half. 2005 of course a season after breaking his leg he wins the triple crown with all those aforementioned guys in much pass happier offenses. But 2004 though with a prime Moose and a prime Smith I think we repeat as NFC champs and who knows.
  9. I never liked that trade because you dont give up that amount for any unproven player QB or not. And the more it was being announced Bryce was going to be the pick, the more film of his I watched and was trying to figure out what was the "must have" in his game that we needed to give up so much. I'm not the quintessential Bryce hater I guess but that was stupid trade if he was the prospect you were targeting.
  10. Again with the assumptions buddy this is your make believe mirror scenario. Creating a false reality you just made up is classic mental health issues.
  11. Affirmations are good, just don't lie to yourself, so never tell your mirror that you know football.
  12. Competence and confidence sometimes get confused by smart guys like you.
  13. Haha trust my knowledge of football over 90% percent of this board, but that doesnt mean I'm right all the time. You seem to assume alot, so I'm certain you're wrong alot.
  14. Brother just like with the Roseboom thing I would have to forget all that I'm seeing with my eyes to believe he's a terrible player, likewise I would have suddenly have to disregard all visual to believe the Bucs have a better roster than the Falcons. I saw Atlanta go into Tampa without their #1 receiver and put up over 400 yards passing, have 19 accepted penalties for over 125 yards and still put the beats on Tampa. Nothing on Tampa scares me, I'm scared of Cousins if he gets hot, nothing yall can say would convince me to be worried about Baker Mayfield he is what he is. I'm scared of Bijan I'm not losing sleep over Bucky Irving, Pitts and London are match up problems, Mike Evans is great no doubt, and Godwin is a 3rd down killer but both are leaving their primes. Defense there shouldn't be any debate here so I want go too much into that.
  15. Nah. Bucs are just deep at receiver. But when healthy I would still take Drake London over all the receivers in the NFC South and I would take Pitts over all the tightends. Tampa roster is getting long in the tooth, Lavonte David, Reddick, Vea, are just names now theyre not what they use to be. Falcons have one of the best pass rushes in the league by far the best in the NFC South, Pierce is going to be a problem. I'm not sure where you think Bucs have the advantage.
  16. Why they keep disrespecting Steve Smith like that. During his era there may have been two receivers more individually dominant, Moss and TO. Holt played on a team with 3 other Hall of Famers, Bruce, Faulk, Warner, he was a great receiver but Steve was wrecking defenses for the most part by himself and when he did have support we got to a Super bowl and another NFC championship.
  17. Coaching: 1. Saints (Proving themselves) 2. Buccaneers (Default) 3. Panthers (Inconsistent) 4. Falcons (Underachieved) Talent: 1. Falcons 2. Buccaneers 3. Panthers 4. Saints Passing: 1. Cousins (steady) 2. Baker (Trending down) 3. Shough (Trending up) 4. Young (Like the coach, Inconsistent) Rushing: 1. Falcons 2. Panthers 3. Buccaneers 4. Saints Receiving, WR/TE: 1. Buccaneers 2. Falcons 3. Saints 4. Panthers Oline: 1A. Panthers 1B. Falcons 3. Buccaneers 4. Ssints Dline: 1. Falcons 2. Saints 3. Panthers 4. Buccaneers Linebackers: 1. Saints 2. Falcons 3. Panthers 4. Buccaneers Secondary: 1. Panthers 2. Falcons 3. Saints 4. Buccaneers
  18. We should go after Kyle Pitts in FA it would strengthen a weakness on our offense and weaken a divisional rival.
  19. He had a obsession with trying to replicate what was done in Seattle all the way down to drafting a smallish Qb.
  20. In the case the Panthers lay an egg against Tampa.. if the Falcons win this game and next week against the Saints it's a three-way tie at 8-9 for the division and with the Panthers sweeping the Falcons we will have the best head to head record of the 3 teams.
