  1. True about Carr. I like Reich over Wilks because I have more confidence in him to build a better staff. I just don't think Wilks is going to be able to assemble a better staff than Reich and the tree he'd pull from would be Rivera, which we are all tired of and don't want to see repeated. At least Reich can pull Pederson and Sirriani trees and the hope is that we can also pair him with Vic Fangio...at least that's my hope.
  2. getting to the playoffs would be quite an improvement over what we've done the last 5 years. who do you want?
  3. his mediocre would be "great" here. 3/4 winning seasons and the most points for in any panthers season outside of 2015...but don't let that stop you from banging that drum
  4. It's possible he lost track of time. Similar to the QB draw he dialed up last year.
  5. Yeah we should wait until next year where the QB class is that much better!!!! - sincerely, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 analysts
  6. you do realize that a mere 4 years ago Frank Reich was that offensive mind from the proven coaching tree right?
  7. he's not implying it will take 5 years to fix at all. he's saying 5 years of stability at head coach which would include winning seasons. it's pretty simple - if the HC doesn't win, he's fired.
  8. yeah we should totally hire than up and coming media created college coach program builder and take a risk
  9. Pep Hamilton sure turns down interview left and right
  10. It's unlike Dov to push something like that and cite Cowherd. I'm not doubting it to be true, just seems odd.
  11. Lol "per FS1" - he's literally using Colin Cowherd as the source.
  12. and if there's one thing we have shown we aren't very good at under this ownership, it's hiring head coaches
  13. Haha yep. Shaq Thompson, the gravy train conductor....all aboard!!!!
  14. @ladypantherhow's this: Tepper: Wilks, we interviewed 20 candidates because we weren't sold on you. After careful consideration (and the fact that our top 3-4 choices decided to either stick with their current team or declined the position), we'd like to offer you the job. 4 year deal? Do we have a deal? Wilks: Yes!
  15. You can put 3-4 years down on a piece of paper but it doesn't mean anything when everyone in the world knows that if Wilks is hired he's on a year by year evaluation because he already has experience failing as a HC in the NFL. I don't care if Tepper gives him a 20 year deal - it's not my money and has no effect on the allocation of the salary cap. The book is out on him. He would need to do "an incredible job" to maintain any type of job security.
  16. Wilks isn't attracting good assistant coaches in the first place. Here's an alternative: Tepper: Wilks, I don't think we're going to hire you because you punted the ball twice at midfield on 4th and 1 in a must-win game. Wilks: Ok. Tepper: Best of luck. --- A 2 year deal is more than fair for Steve Wilks.
  17. We may be all in on Steichen but I have a hard time believing he is all in on us. 80% likely we end up with Wilks or Reich 15% Steichen 2.5% Payton 2.5% some other rando
  18. translation: Demeco Ryans will NOT circle back to interview the Panthers
