  1. I’ve said this time and time again. Using any consensus board in the world we start last years class with Ladd McConkey and Cooper DeJean.
  2. It’s important to remember no one in this building has proven yet that they’re even close to competent when it comes to the draft. I think Dave can coach. 5 wins with last years group is a true miracle, and they went toe to toe with the Chiefs and Eagles. But last years class looks like a total flop right now. Not a one of them has come even close to demonstrating they can be even an average starter in this league. With the evidence we have to work with, there’s zero reason to think they’re going to do a good job this weekend.
  3. I’ll never trust Verge again after she convinced me were CeeDee and I was so bummed when that didn’t come to fruition
  4. I think there’s a difference in saying he can be used similarly to Parsons and saying he’s going to be as good as Parsons. If teams thought he was going to be THAT good he’s not falling past #4. I think Walker’s top 5% outcome he could be that good, but it’s far from his median outcome. My concern is if he spends most of his time as an EDGE he will more or less be historically small to play that spot. Parsons has more length which I think is really important for an EDGE.
  5. When has a big reach ever worked out for us?
  6. What are we doing with Mason Graham man. Sure he may not have ideal length or athleticism. He bullied Ohio State three years in a row and was often the best player on the field on a team that won a championship as a sophomore. Don’t overthink this
  7. I don’t think JW is close to as much of a sure thing as Luke was but I understand the comp. I just see way more of a ceiling with JW, and I think he has the drive to get there. I actually think Mykel has a higher floor than JW, but man I just never see him bring a double digit sack guy ever. I’m super worried about spending #8 on an End/Edge that has such limited upside as a pass rusher. We seem so obsessed with stopping the run right now, which is fine. But our defense will still be god awful because no one can get to the passer.
  8. If we do take Mykel as Verge implies, I hope someone has the courage to ask Dan something about his production. Dan just told us production at the collegiate level was going to be a massive part of the evaluation process this year. Is 20 tackles and 5 sacks enough? Maybe it is. That seems a bit underwhelming for a top 8 pick. And I won’t even complain if Mykel is the pick. I think he was used in a way at Georgia that makes it difficult to rack up a lot of flashy stats. But this is a question someone needs to at least ask.
  9. Might sound silly but this guy has become something of a folk hero on twitter. He’s been first to some massive NFL stories, trades, FA destinations, etc. It’s to the point where he definitely knows SOMEONE. He’s gotten banned multiple times and keeps finding his way back.
  10. Time to bet even more on Walker
  11. I don’t think they’re that in love with him. Gun to my head I think they’d still prefer Jalon over Mykel. But I think they’d prefer Mykel and some extra assets over just Jalon.
  12. I think their dream is to slide down a bit and get Mykel. But he’s gaining some serious steam to SF at 11.
  13. I will never post again if the Jags take Graham at 5
  14. https://walterfootball.com/draft-week-hot-press-monday.php "Team sources feel this is one of the most difficult drafts to project in many years. Teams picking in the middle and late in the first round say it is very difficult to confidently project who will be on the board when they pick. The lack of top quarterback talent and a lack of elite prospects for the top 10 are why this draft is more difficult to predict for teams and the media. However, one pick that is said to be all but a done deal is the Carolina Panthers taking Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker . Walker fills a need for a pass rusher and is also a culture fit for the Panthers’ regime. Perhaps the Panthers are being very discreet about their true intentions, but team sources feel that Walker to Carolina is a borderline lock for the first round." - Charlie Campbell Campbell almost always gets our pick correct. He also has Walker going 6 to Vegas though. But sounds like we would not pass on him
  15. I do not see it with Emmanwori. At all
  16. https://x.com/pschrags/status/1914139872782094810?s=46&t=xpgkpbdmCQHLrpIYBMrHOw I think it’s Mykel
  17. Add receiver to that list. Besides that I see where you are coming from. But I will say if there’s a generational talent I still think it’s worth it. Like I’d easily take Brock Bowers eighth in this draft if he was in it.
  18. People love to say this and I don’t think most fans are crowning Bryce as the franchise quarterback yet, but what is the alternative right now? We are picking 7th in this draft, the two first round QB’s will be gone well before then. What free agent do you think will perform better than Bryce has these last two months? Our roster is the worst in the league. Lets please spend one offseason addressing that instead of pretending another new QB will get us winning again
  19. Just an absolutely embarrassing performance from every single player and coach today
  20. Ladd McConkey isn’t having any issues
  21. Ladd McConkey is not having any issues
  22. Careful, I said this last week and everyone jumped on me
