Our last two 4th round picks: JT Sanders Lathan Ransom Not too shabby for a rebuilding team.
-
Conditional 7th could mean they don’t get it at all, right?
-
You’re suggesting our offense can not run without Theilen? Man, we’re in worse shape than I thought.

taking a look at other teams cut lists

Agreed. In a similar way to Aaron Donald being considered too small for IDL when he was drafted, Lampkin is always viewed as too small but just dominates anyway. -
I think they have bigger plans for Coker this year.

Official Panthers Roster Cuts (Updated)

Why can’t Horn be a returner? -
I had no clue it wasn’t until your post. I thought OP had it wrong.
-
Just got traded to the Eagles.
-
If Bryce sucks it up, we should trade for Tanner McKee. I’m hopeful Bryce will make that unnecessary though.
-
The benefit of McCord, if he’s close to the other two in ability, is the locked in, cheap contract. Zappe’s contract expires this year. Hooker’s next year. McCord costs ~$1mil per year through 2028.

Appreciate your efforts around here! Good luck tmw and said a prayer for you.

Send me info on Bills tickets, please

That’s where Huntley is headed.
-
No. I think I’d prefer Perkins over Huntley.
-
I assume the guys released now versus closer to Tuesday are bottom of the barrel on their respective teams. Guys who are borderline, but will eventually be cut, should be shopped until closer to the deadline.
-
I can get down with all of that except Moton. If Bryce is out future at QB, we have to invest in his protection. I’m sure Burrow would agree.
-
Then he’ll he paid appropriately next season and maybe in 2027 we’ll have a bargain, IF CBA continues skyward and his play level maintains.
-
That’s a reasonable argument. I won’t put that level of play out of reach for Icky yet, but he’s certainly far from being considered a top 10 LT at this point in his career. Hopefully he’ll get there. Moton is in the top 5-10 range for RTs. We’ll most likely be paying him like he’s top 10-15 once that contract hits next year. Not bad imo.
-
I agree with this on timing unless we make a move soon.
-
Do you consider Icky a better OT than Moton? I don’t think anyone does. Our roster is not depleted everywhere but OL. Our WR room has nice young pieces. Our RB room is sufficient for years. Our interior DL is in nice shape and now we have promising young EDGE players. We’re certainly operating like QB is set as well. The only thing I’ll concede is the timing doesn’t make great sense unless there are some moves in the pipeline that require current cap space.
-
Well wallow in your misery together, I guess. I think Dan has made some nice moves since taking over and we seem headed in the right direction. Rebuilt OL/WR rooms and now DL seems on the uptick. I’ll just let y’all go on pretending the extension $ would magically net us a Penei Sewell-caliber RT this offseason.
-
He missed one game late in the year when it didn’t matter due to his knee(s). If you don’t think the Panthers considered his overall physical health before signing this extension, then you should probably give up following them, because you consider them less capable than many DIII programs.
-
Your truth. Mine would look something like this… ”Panthers just extended their RT. He’s been a steady presence for years. This helps solidify our OL and secure it will remain a strength. Hopefully, he’ll be a career Panther.” Your intelligent NFL friend likely would’ve responded with something like, “Nice signing. Helps Bryce continue to grow with good support from his OL.”
-
Nice framing of the extension by you. I wonder why your friend didn’t respond positively.
