  1. Was hoping this was Penix getting hip tossed out of bounds. even the refs were like “yeah this dude sucks hit him again”
  2. And the defense should get all the credit. Offense did mostly nothing. it was a 10 point game until Penix handed off a ball to the DB for six in the third quarter. even if you think the game flow indicated the passes and playcalling, the panthers couldn’t move the ball at all. Their fg was in the second was from the 40. But I guess the offense did better than the jj McCarthey led Vikings. put that in the ring of honor.
  3. Bryce vs the Falcons: 3-1 vs literally anyone else: 4-25 Get a real qb, make Bryce a backup like his skill set indicates, and trot him out twice a year.
  4. He’s a backup caliber player and these are backup caliber stats. This is his realistic good game.
  5. the next month is patriots, dolphins, cowboys and jets you're half a month ahead
  6. Bucs barely beat the Jets yesterday and were already a mash unit on their offensive line when they played the falcons. The Falcons got six sacks against JJ McCarthey who after the game was "injured." He suck worse than bryce who cares. okay then does Tet jumping fifteen feet in the air and pulling down a bryce blimp not count as a throw? I don't remember if there was a defender behind him there but that ball isn't an NFL throw and should have been six the other way. we can go back and forth on this. At the end of the day, like I said, the common factor for the last three seasons of hell is Bryce.
  7. yeah but whats a drop, because at this point bryce defenders point to anything that hits a part of the receivers body as a drop like when renfrow had to stop and twist and reach behind himself yesterday are we calling that a drop? because that's a terrible throw. Just because someone can get a paw on it doesn't mean it should have been caught or wasn't a bad throw and his defenders get so caught up in this that they ignore the simple fact that this kind of production is just what the panthers have gotten from the QB position since he's been here, and that stretches across multiple coaching staffs and wide receiver rooms. What's the common factor in three years of 12/25, 125 yards, maybe a TD, maybe a lost fumble, maybe an interception, around 20 points scored when things are going well
  8. the falcons are complete garbage and the offense doesn't score points who cares
  9. this is true in a really broad sense. panthers scheme is play action mesh with the first read generally being a check down to a runningback or a five yard curl, generally to the right side of the field. that's nothing like what they were running in miami
  10. its how all of his passing charts look getting bailed out by the refs throwing into a team without it's best corner isn't something to brag about "if you only count all the completions he didn't make" isn't the argument he thinks it is
  11. That was also in the wake of McDaniel overcoming bad offensive line play with tua by getting the ball out in less than two seconds and probably sounded good to tepper. “we don’t need olinemen if we just pass fast” etc, just like how we didn’t need receivers because Bryce was a point guard. but in miami McDaniel had waddle and hill, and a quarterback that could consistently put his back foot in the ground and throw to a spot. Theres none of that in Carolina. also Canales can’t coach
  12. Like this is so embarrassing from al Wallace if the 2003 panthers defense saw Bryce young under center against them, he’s not finishing the first half. It’d have been a contest to see who was going to murder him first. Buckner and Jenkins would have been insulted. al Wallace hit a qb so hard the guy lost an organ and here he is dancing for tepper. Just a joke.
  13. That two second sideline fade was Bryce’s best “deep” pass last year, especially to Thielen from the slot position. That only worked tho because Thielen would go in motion and tell Bryce if the safety was off or not.
  14. Bryce didn’t pass deep at all, was throwing behind receivers, couldn’t consistently get first downs, and was generally unproductive after the first drive. That wasn’t dictated by the game score; that’s how the vast majority of his pro games have gone, even his “good” ones (I think most people have forgotten how the eagles game actually played out) the fact that Penix was out there shitting on the field and rolling around in it and getting it on his clothes and feet and then walking into the house and touching all the walls isn’t relevant. This is just who Bryce at his general best is: 100-150 yards, around 12-15 completions, maybe one completion downfield, maybe a touchdown, maybe a turnover, maxing out at about 22 points depending on how bad the other team is. game flow had nothing to do with that.
  15. Shout out to Michael Penix Jr couldn't have done it without him
  16. These are just the stats dude. If you’re arguing why a sub thirty percent conversion rate on third down isn’t bad, then you need to take a look at yourself.
  17. Bryce vs the Falcons: 3-1 vs literally anyone else: 4-25
  18. dont throw bryce to the dogs he's gamey he's full of bones there's no meat and it's bad for their tum tums
  19. the only team that couldn't have beat the falcons today was the falcons. that looked like the first day of training camp install
