Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws
GoobyPls replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great play my ass, that was great pass protection. Higgins isn’t a burner so for him to get that open he needs a lot of time and someone on the opposing defense to have a miscommunication -

With the amount of time he had in the pocket and how wide open Higgins was I could of hit that throw -
These nfl network games have a preseason feel to them
-
Of course the cowboys won’t cover the 7.5 spread. Just messed up my parlay

So is this a Bryce issue, a Canales issue, or a non issue?

So you are proving my point, you can win a SB with below average passing game And the panthers currently are near the bottom in terms of contracts for skill position players, are highest paid offensive player is Moton at 44 million which extremely cheap relative to other teams. The eagles have about 5 guys on there offense with bigger contracts than that -

So you can win with a below average passing attack. And if you want to get into weeds of things Bryce is actually asked to do way more in terms of passing concepts, changing plays at the line of scrimmage, going through progression, the eagles play the most simplified passing offense in the NFL cause of Hurts limitations. -

The eagles just won while be ranked 29th in passing yards, and they have all pro weapons -
We need to use Legette like SF used Deebo, screw running intricate routes just use him on drags, sweeps, screens and go routes, he’s still our fastest WR.

It’s a pass protection and WR issue. The pass protection is not good, anytime Bryce attempts to throw deep or take a 7 step drop he gets blasted. And our two best WR run 4.58 and 4.57, neither of them were known as burners coming out of college. -
Hopefully he gets the all pro nod
-
Nah I guessed right
-
No most loses are because we are subpar roster with average coaching. Panthers have done a good enough job at preventing themselves win a SB for 30 years
-
With a better coach we would have 10 wins already With better receivers we would have 10 wins already With better pass protection we would have 10 wins already With a better defense we would have 10 wins already

Let me guess the huddle posters think he has an agenda to pump up Bryce lol It can’t possibly Bryce is a good QB with good game film. The overwhelming majority of people who break down film know Bryce is actually make this offense exceed its talent level. Also Canales runs the most basic pass concepts known to man.
-
That video I posted is not a one time thing, Shough got no pressure on him with the panthers blitzing, meanwhile the saints got pressure on Bryce with just 4. Out pass defense is horrible meanwhile the saints have a top 5 pass defense. Orlvosky actually broke down this game, the saints pass protection gave Shough. I want too see who makes these stats your thing out cause the film tells the opposite https://x.com/danorlovsky7/status/2001406714961150448

This where you need to watch the film, they don’t give up sack one cause of the type of offense we run and two cause Bryce is slippery, Shough big flaw come out of Louisville was him holding the ball forever Your telling me this is good pass protection? Lol
-
Except we are not a bottom 3 offense. Saints actually have good pass protection, Olave who is better than any WR Bryce has ever had, and a creative caller. And he also has a good defense that doesn’t put him in holes every game. We are not moving on from Bryce this offseason so keep wishing
-
So your argument is Bryce isn’t a top 5 QB? I don’t care, Shough is almost 27 and is playing with more talented team than Bryce had his rookie season. Kellen Moore is also a more creative designer of offense.
-
Maye and Allen are two of the best QBs in the NFL right now. And Allen has a top flight o-line while Maye has a great OC. Shough hasn’t proven crap, he’s played two of the worst defenses in the NFL and has around 40 pass attempts per game, he better be putting up volume yards.
-
Nope I’m just stating facts, Bryce has his flaws but the roster around him is even more flawed. Idc how great the QB is it’s hard to put numbers where your best weapon is a rookie.
-
Maye is not gonna win MVP but he’s more valuable than Stafford.
-
He got old, it happens to every receivers especially deep ball specialists like Anderson. That doesn’t change the fact coming off his two best season as soon as Darnold arrives his numbers plummet. That separation stat is subjective, the film I posted isn’t. DJ has no DB 5 yards within his vicinity in a bunch of those clips, TMac isn’t running away from anybody. Of course he looks better as rookie he more polished than DJ coming out Maryland. DJ high end was always better, that’s why Tmac had a lot question coming out of Arizona they knew his floor was a solid WR. I firmly believe you give Bryce speed WR like DJ and Robbie his numbers would be much better and so would this offense
-
Again how is it that before arriving in NY Robbie had a career year, the same goes for in Carolina than as soon as Darnold becomes his QB his numbers submarines on both teams? Just coincidence I guess lol. It’s not about tearing down Tmac is about the fact that DJ was a superior WR. His abilities lend themselves more to a true number 1 WR. Tmac is a fine rookie WR but he’s not on DJ level This an example of DJ creating immense separation that Tmac can’t https://x.com/robertkschmitz/status/1636893742916415490/video/1
