Pretty wild that the QB that upset Bama last week came from NMSU. And Rich Rod still being the coach of JSU is equally as wild.

Looks like the Canes finally have their roster as Tyson Jost has been waived with the purpose of sending him to Chicago. Fast was also put on LTIR so the Canes will be going into the season with $2.50M in cap space. Roslovic - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Carrier Robinson - Drury - Blake Slavin - Burns Orlov - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Kochetkov Andersen Injured - Lemieux LTIR - Fast Injured Non-Roster - Stillman, Ryan -

I completely forgot that the MLS changed the playoff format so that round one is a best of three series; so no matter what we get a home playoff game. I’m hoping we hold that sixth spot because we’ve played well against Cincinnati and we’d also avoid Miami in the next round. NYCFC should beat Montreal and Charlotte should beat D.C. United. If those results happen then we’ll keep sixth. -
Tolls are suspended so depending on where you are heading don’t forget you can use the expressways like (I4 Express, etc.). I’m in Orlando and my family is in St. Augustine. Only reason I’m concerned is because my families house sits on the beach in St. Augustine and their road always floods during hurricanes. Definitely will be thinking about those in the greater Tampa area, it’s going to be horrible.

Actually it looks Like Stillman and Ryan have been placed on the injured non-roster list and Blake has been assigned to Chicago for cap purposes. Once the 23 man roster is submitted then Montgomery will be assigned to Chicago and Blake will come back. The group will be: Forwards (14) - Aho, Jarvis, Roslovic, Necas, Kotkaniemi, Svechnikov, Carrier, Staal, Martinook, Drury, Jost, Robinson, Blake, Lemieux Defensemen (7) - Slavin, Burns, Orlov, Chatfield, Gostisbehere, Walker, ??? (Smith or Morrow maybe) Goalies (2) - Kochetkov, Andersen Injured Non-Roster (2) - Stillman, Ryan -

Still have some moves to make likely Ryan and Montgomery down after the Canes do some cap gymnastics. -
Milton looks like it could fug Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville. Its’ path is a very rare one and though it’s only projected to be a category 3, Florida has been planning for a category 5 storm just like the path that Milton is on for 15 years. A category 5 storm on the same path as Milton would be projected to be the most costliest event in US history.

Good win tonight though a 4-1 win would have been nice for the GD rather than a 4-3 win. Unfortunately all the teams in front of us won so a home playoff game looks unlikely but if we could get to 6th so that we avoid Miami until the conference finals that would be nice. -
Carolina will never be consistently good in football until they get serious about NIL and they won’t unless they leave the ACC. The only reason we still compete in basketball is because of the historical aspect of the program and the family environment which a lot of recruits just seem to fall for.
-
Not saying they are but they were good enough to at least give Carolina fans ACC title aspirations. Coming out of HS only Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix were rated higher than Howell (Dual-Threat) and only Quinn Ewers, Caleb Williams, and Sam Huard were ranked higher than Maye (Pocket Passer). Neither were able to lead Carolina to an ACC title though some would argue it was because UNC could never field a defense but there’s no denying that the pedigree was there for both players to at least give Carolina fans title hopes. And my overall point was just that the UNC/Duke game isn’t as important as people are making it out to be and Duke winning isn’t that big of a deal. Historically UNC owns Duke in football especially over the past 15, 20, 30 years… however long you want to go back and my point was that Duke fans seemed to make the game bigger than it actually was. UNC is ass this year and Duke is better. Like I said, if this is as one of those years where Carolina was fighting for a spot in the ACC Championship game and we lost to Duke then of course I’d be pissed but this year… I couldn’t care less, UNC sucks and overall the football rivalry between UNC and Duke has fallen off drastically. There’s a reason it’s no longer the last game of the season.
-
Yet you spam the board over a QB that isn’t even in the league. You literally are the same person that you are describing.
-
UNC is ass this year… not sure why that even needs to be said. The best thing Duke can do for Carolina is be the reason Mack Brown retires.
-
Feel free to pick the timeframe of when and what you want to argue. It doesn’t matter as Carolina has consistently been the better program and the head to head record justifies that. And yes Carolina has been poo in bowl games, no argument from me there. But the gap is much wider. You can’t just look at records because UNC and Duke don’t play the same schedule but you can look at their conference records. I’m using 2010 as a reference point because this site did the majority of the math for me. https://247sports.com/longformarticle/acc-football-teams-overall-records-in-past-five-years-189889255/amp/ Duke’s conference record since 2010: 40-74 UNC’s conference record since 2010: 59-55 Quite the big difference there… And no where did I say UNC was competing for titles every year but at least over the past few years we haven’t been focused on just beating Duke, it’s been about making the ACC championship game. Obviously this year is different.

Finebaum has more inside intel than the majority of college pundits and honestly who gives two shits what he said about Deion. If you get butthurt because of a sports caster talking down about your favorite player/team then you might not want to step outside, the real world might be too scary and mean for you.

Comparing teams that were led by Sam Howell and Drake Maye to any team Wake Forest has fielded over the past 10 years is wild. Though Hartman did his best to make Wake relevant. Bottom line is UNC was expected to win their division and compete for an ACC Championship with those two at QB, saying otherwise is just being a Duke homer. Carolina is obviously not the same team without an elite QB and have a long way to go to rebuild the program but to think UNC fans had Duke circled on their calendars over the past 20 years is just wrong. NCSU has essentially become Carolina’s #1 rival in football because Duke has been so bad recently.
-
You’re right… the SEC’s most respected insider and pundit, Paul Finebaum states that UNC would be the SEC’s top target should they choose to expand again but I guess it’s all smoke and mirrors and you know what’s fact and fiction since your credentials consist of… *checks notes* posting on a message board. But back to the topic of Duke and UNC, if it’s your opinion that your team sucks if they don’t win a championship then why even watch sports… you are setting yourself up for a lot of disappointment.

Titles has nothing to do with it and I didn’t bring up how many titles any team has won as history from 50 years ago has no bearing on a team’s aspirations from just 5 years ago. You and your Duke buddy can continue to live in the past off of some ACC title that you won 30 years ago but bottom line is over the past 10 years Carolina has been the better program and has had title aspirations appearing in two of the championship games. Regardless of if Howell and Maye carried their teams, the thought doesn’t change that over the past few years Carolina thought they had a chance to win a title with those two at the helm and not one Carolina fan would tell you that their success hinged on beating Duke. Duke was just another game on the schedule. Being delusional is blaming the refs for your losses when Duke is 7-28 against Carolina since the 90’s.
