No team runs exclusively man… they’d get annihilated if they did. In reality, teams are in man coverage 30% of the time this year which means the remaining 70% of the time they are in zone. Wilks just had a good game plan and they executed. I’d also argue that Walker looks more comfortable in the pocket than any QB that is on the roster, so having someone that is willing to stand back there and scan the field is a big plus as well. The Panthers opened it up a bit today and Walker delivered, mind you he’s never had issues moving the ball between the 20’s… it’s always been about his turnovers and red zone production.

As a Carolina fan I will not like that but I have nothing but good things to say about DSJ’s play lol.

It’s hard when the team refuses to completely blow it up. If this team ends up picking in the teens there’s not a whole lot of options for the Panthers at QB. The Panthers are closely becoming the Hornets of the NFL, constantly mediocre.

I’m interested to see how a coaching staff that has their head out of their ass uses him.

In all seriousness… if this team fugs around and wins 7 or 8 games then Lamar is the best option.
