  1. Hornets up 43-27 at the half over the Chinese National Team. Don’t think anyone in particular has stood out but the team defense has been good as China committed 15 first half turnovers. The bad news is Gueye got hurt.
  2. Forgot to add Justin Robidas to my above list. Apologies to Justin. I believe those are all the players currently under contract who could see time in the AHL. All that could change with prospect camp coming up.
  3. K.J. Simpson signed a two-way contract opening up another roster spot. 1 - LaMelo Ball, Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann, K.J. Simpson (two-way) 2 - Josh Green, Reggie Jackson, Nick Smith Jr. 3 - Brandon Miller, Cody Martin, Leaky Black (two-way) 4 - Miles Bridges, Grant Williams, Tidjane Salaun 5 - Mark Williams, Nick Richards So the Hornets have two roster spots and one two-way spot available. It’ll be interesting to see if Seth takes one of those roster spots. Also, after yesterdays Summer League game, Gueye might be pushing for that third two-way contract. The Hornets also have part of their MLE remaining. From the looks of it we could use another forward and another center in case more injury concerns pop up with Martin and Williams.
  4. The Canes might have fooled around and won Chicago another Calder Cup. Giving them Tyson Jost, Eric Robinson, Josiah Slavin, Bradly Nadeau, Felix Unger-Sorum, Jackson Blake, Gleb Trikozov, Ryan Suzuki, Noel Gunler, Juha Jaaska, Scott Morrow, Riley Stillman, Ronan Seeley, Ty Smith, Domenick Fensore, Joel Nystrom, Charles-Alexis Legault, Anttoni Honka, Aleksi Heimosalmi, Spencer Martin, Yaniv Perets, and Ruslan Khazheyev should allow them to be good right out of the gate though I’m sure a good number of those guys will see time with the Canes this year.
  5. I know there’s smoke around Ehlers and McGroaty but I’d hope Necas isn’t involved in any trade for Ehlers. In a perfect world we keep Necas for a couple years and add Ehlers through picks and prospects. Trading Necas for Ehlers just opens up another hole.
  6. I got Charles Lee fever. We have another game against the Chinese National team tonight at 8 on ESPN2. Still no Salaun, he won’t play until Vegas along with Brandon Miller. K.J. Simpson is out for all of summer league.
  7. Charles Lee had the Hornets running on all cylinders tonight. Hornets beat the Spurs 97-65. Mouhamadou Gueye led the Hornets with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 3 blocks.
  8. Hornets lead the Kings 43-29 at the half. Mouhamadou Gueye leads the Hornets with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and 3 blocks.
  9. Love Coach Lee’s use of his timeouts, he doesn’t let the opponent go on runs.
  10. Charles Lee has this team fightingggg.
  11. Anyone watching us on NBATV/ESPN+? Salaun and Simpson are injured but Smith Jr., Black, and the recently waived McGowens are playing. Charles Lee has the guys playing with some intensity.
  12. Love to see it. Hornets are also waiving Graham, Bertans, Pokusevski, and McGowens. Hornets have one roster spot and two two-way contracts available. Current Roster 1 - LaMelo Ball, Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann, K.J. Simpson 2 - Josh Green, Reggie Jackson, Nick Smith Jr. 3 - Brandon Miller, Cody Martin, Leaky Black (two-way) 4 - Miles Bridges, Grant Williams, Tidjane Salaun 5 - Mark Williams, Nick Richards
  13. Hornets acquired Devonte Graham and a 2nd round pick for taking on Graham’s contract. The Hornets will waive Graham. The Hornets are also waiving Davis Bertans. Current Roster: 1 - LaMelo Ball, Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann, K.J. Simpson 2 - Josh Green, Reggie Jackson, Nick Smith Jr., Bryce McGowens 3 - Brandon Miller, Cody Martin, Aleksej Pokusevski, Leaky Black (two-way) 4 - Grant Williams, Tidjane Salaun 5 - Mark Williams, Nick Richards Hornets have two more two-way contracts available and their roster is currently full. If they make any additional moves one of McGowens or Pokusevski is likely getting waived since they are on non guaranteed contracts.
  14. With Drury and Necas electing arbitration, they can no longer sign offer sheets. A report also came out that we are interested in Ehlers, he’s purely an offensive player but at this point I’d take him. Maybe Drury, a B level prospect, and draft picks for Ehlers. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - Kuznetsov - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Carrier - Roslovic - Kotkaniemi Lemieux - Jost - Robinson Nadeau - Unger-Sorum - Blake Suzuki Slavin - Burns Orlov - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Stillman - Morrow Seeley Kochetkov Andersen Martin
  15. Being an All-Star in the NBA is meaningless. It’s a popularity contest. Otherwise Kemba would have been an All-Star more times than he was. And statistics are definitely in favor of Bridges… points, rebounds, defensive rating. Ingram is living off the past and Pelicans fans were grilling him in the postseason.
  16. Would much rather have Bridges than Ingram. Ingram is so streaky and disappears at times. I was not impressed with him at all in the playoffs against OKC.
  17. Drury and Necas have elected for arbitration.
  18. Bolden got waived, Salaun signed his contract.
  19. I don’t mind Carrier’s contract tbh. He solves a big need of some toughness and grit. If we decided to move both KK and Drury, I wouldn’t mind a fourth line of Carrier - Roslovic - Lemieux
  20. Yeah I don’t know where you put him other than the fourth line. He’s not a top six guy and ideally you’d put him on the third line but our third line is already set.
  21. Roslovic is meh to me. Advanced stats show that he’s just kind of average at everything. I’d try to move Kotkaniemi and put Roslavic on the fourth line. Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis ??? - Kuznetsov - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Carrier - Drury - Roslovic Lemieux - Jost - Robinson Nadeau - Unger-Sorum - Blake Suzuki Slavin - Burns Orlov - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Stillman - Morrow Seeley - Coghlan Kochetkov Andersen Martin
  22. I feel like they’ll bring him back but I could be wrong.
  23. I love the Green trade. I think people will be surprised at how well he does with a bigger role in Charlotte. I’d honestly pencil him in as the starting two guard. So far we’ve added Green and Jackson and lost Curry (who apparently they want back), Thor, and Bailey. 1 - LaMelo Ball, Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann, K.J. Simpson 2 - Josh Green, Reggie Jackson, Nick Smith Jr., Bryce McGowens 3 - Brandon Miller, Cody Martin, Aleksej Pokusevski, Leaky Black 4 - Miles Bridges, Grant Williams, Tidjane Salaun, Davis Bertans 5 - Mark Williams, Nick Richards, Marques Bolden There’s still moves to be made and it’s likely that Bertans, McGowens and maybe even Pokusevski are waived as all three have non-guaranteed contracts.
  24. We need to keep Necas and acquire another top six forward.
