Sigh… poor guy can’t stay healthy. Noesen will likely draw in tonight, also wouldn’t be shocked to see Drury join the boys on this road trip if Kase does indeed have a concussion.

Sharks offense doesn’t scare me at all… outside of Couture, Meier, and Hertl they don’t have much. I’d give Cogh’s a look tonight, I think it would be a good game for him to get his feet wet.

Canes have a massive reason to play their A game tonight, I don’t see them letting Burns down.

Was checking out Nino and Nashville and ultimately found myself watching Marchment a lot, he’s got two goals tonight. He would have been a good signing but being that Patches is one my favorite players to watch around the league, I’m glad we missed out on Marchment. We wouldn’t have been able to acquire both him and Patches and Patches is my guy, I’m hopeful that we can resign him for a few years and let him as well as Burns, close out their careers here.

TDA played well tonight, 2 secondary assists and a +3, but he’s playing with Provorov so he’s getting sheltered a bit. That’s the thing with TDA, you can put him as a first paring defenseman as long as you have a shutdown guy to play him beside, otherwise it’s kind of hard to find a spot for him. Normally you’d like your bottom pairing defenseman to be defensive defenseman (like Chatfield) in my opinion and obviously TDA is average defensively. It was the right move to move on from him as I just don’t think there was a perfect spot for him available on our roster.

This Devils/Flyers game is really good. TDA is his old self, has an assist and was invoked in a good scrum. Brendan Smith already hurt for the Devils… Dougie Hamilton and Erik Haula out there for the Devils as well.

That’s valid, they saved our bacon multiple times. I know everyone was furious about moving Ned but it turned out to be the right call in hindsight.

Old pal Max Domi is on the board tonight for Chicago, unfortunately it will likely be in a losing effort to Colorado. Wish nothing but the best for Max, he was a class act during his brief stint here.

It’s going to be interesting to see where he lines up… I think Svechnikov might actually get moved down because he can generate offense on his own (as we saw today) and he plays a power forward game. He’s waiver exempt, meaning he can’t be claimed by another team if sent down to Chicago (AHL team). His direct competition, Stefan Noesen, is not waiver exempt and would likely be claimed. Canes have so much competition that it’s hard to keep everyone, he’ll be up some this year though, Canes just have to clear room. After seeing how Chatfield has played tonight, I’d bet the farm that Bear is gone and then Drury will be called up.
