Not sure if playing him (Jarvis) with Staal is the right move. I understand wanting to play him with the most defensively responsible forward on the roster but over these last couple of games you can definitely tell he is a teenager when he isn’t playing with a centerman who doesn’t drive the line offensively.

Good point, they’ll get one because it’s the NHL and there is gamesmanship… hopefully we are up for the challenge.

It’s going to be interesting to see what they do with Chatfield. He seems to be a solid 5/6 defenseman and I think I would prefer him as the 7D over Smith. I also am not 100% sure Chatfield would clear waivers, I think a team might snag him. Wonder if the Canes could flip Smith for a 7th round pick.

Congrats to NYCFC on winning the MLS Cup but as of around 6:15ish EST, all eyes of the MLS are now on Charlotte FC. The MLS Expansion Draft is set for this Tuesday where Charlotte will add up to 5 players and this year, DP’s and Under 22’s are not automatically protected (Generation Adidas and Homegrown’s are). This guarantees that Charlotte will have the chance to add up to five really solid players. Charlotte FC is officially on the clock.

And all JT and Kai did was come in and help the team extend their lead… JT finished the game +9 (second on the team) and Kai finished the game +7 (third on the team).

I get wanting to give Vern a chance but Kai should have been in this game after Vern’s disastrous early spell. Most of these guys seem like they want to be out there… maybe it’s just me but Vern just seemed like he was going through the motions.

Overall the authentic is not a bad kit. Some will say it’s bland but I think the more appropriate term is clean. This kit will probably be middle of the pack in sales and that’s probably what we’re shooting for to be honest. Once we’ve established a foot print in the MLS we can start to incorporate controversial ideas (pinstripes for the Hornets, checkered sleeves for NASCAR, etc.).
