Ekwonu has made significant improvements starting all the way back in HS and his trajectory has been one line up not a line that consists of peaks and valley’s. You take that type of kid all day long because 1) he’s already elite in one area (run blocking), 2) you have one of the best OL coaches in the NFL. Ickey also isn’t as bad of a pass protector as he’s made out to be. Through the first 5 games of last year he didn’t give up a single sack. There’s obviously work to be done but his trajectory is only going up.

If Brady can’t transition to left guard, Deonte Brown is still hanging out hoping for a shot. Ickey and Brown would be 655 lbs. of road grade material on the left hand side.

Correct, Washington could bump Pittsburgh to Florida and it’s likely to come down to the final game between New York and Washington on if the Pens or Caps go to Florida. As for our matchup, it’s either going to be Boston or Tampa. The only way it’s not Boston is if Tampa loses out and Boston wins out (highly unlikely that Tampa loses out).

It would take an epic collapse by Tampa for us to not end up playing Boston. Neither Pittsburgh or Washington can catch Boston.

Stepan definitely doesn’t need to sit and Lorentz shouldn’t play (though he seems like a great kid).
