  1. We don’t want him but the bottom line is I (and probably others) don’t see us being competitive until we get a big man. Until we clear cap space it’s just not possible for us to obtain an above average big man. Trading Hayward for Westbrook gets money off the book a lot earlier.
  2. Let’s try this again… Domi gets his first with the Canes against his former team.
  3. Yeah if they don’t take Hayward then they can fug off… you want Rozier who is on par with old man Westbrook and then don’t take Hayward off our hands… gtfo.
  4. Staal day to day, KK day to day, Freddie most likely out until the playoffs. Turbo - Aho - Jarvis Svech - Trocheck - Necas Nino - Domi - Fast Marty - Stepan - Lorentz Slavin - TDA Skjei - Pesce Smith - Bear Raanta Kochetkov Injured: Staal, KK, Freddie Scratched: Cole
  5. Hahaha Tripp is hilarious. Miss him and John together, they were the best combo in the business.
  6. Mexican pizza back at at Taco Bell.. guess I’ll pour a Baja Blast out for Tripp Tracy tonight… #StartPyotrTheGreat
  7. If Raanta went down I’d call up our old friend Curtis McElhinney and see if he’d backup Kochetkov for a bag of chips before I’d trot Laffer out there.
  8. Raanta’s injury history is concerning, if he goes down then we are looking at Kochetkov and LaFontaine as our goalies as Lyon and Makiniemi are also hurt.
  9. I liked Gordon as a person and a player but this whole change of scenery thing doesn’t look good for him… how many times do you have to jump ship because you aren’t getting what you want?
  10. Also let’s not forget, this kid paid his dues in the second best hockey league in the world (KHL), the stage won’t be too big for him. On the contrary I think his competitive spirit is exactly what the Canes need and I think the team rally’s around him.
  11. I think he does and you add in the fact that the Canes suppress shots better than most, I’m under the belief that Kochetkov will thrive with the Canes.
  12. Kochetkov boasts a 13-1-1 record in 15 games with Chicago this season, he has a 2.09 GAA and a .921 save %, he also has one assist.
  13. You have to think Kochetkov is headed to Raleigh. The organization is starting to suffer some goalie injuries so there will be some rearranging. Most likely Freddie to IR (Canes), Lyon to IR (Wolves), Kochetkov to the Canes, LaFontaine to the Wolves (for good), Warm to the Wolves, Wells stays with the Admirals, and the Admirals probably sign a PTO goalie. I’ll also note that Makiniemi has also been out for quite some time (Wolves).
  14. Alcivar and Franco need to get in the box… we’re not going to pot one if Swiderski and Rios are the only presences in the box.
  15. Makoun is a mess tonight: missing passes, out of position, stumbling all over the place.
  16. Swiderski’s free kicks are Ronaldoesque, always on target, though I wouldn’t have gone with the out swinger to the far left, thought there was more than enough room to swing it in on the right.
  17. I’d be interested in seeing Reyna playing out on the right, Franco just looks a tad uncomfortable when he’s not playing in the middle of the field.
  18. Need to get a result tonight, can’t keep dropping so many points on the road. A draw would be fine.
  19. In Foxborough to take on the Revs tonight, would love to get all three points tonight because the Revs are really struggling this year and hardly pulling. 4-4-2 diamond tonight: GK - Kahlina LB - Fuchs LCB - Makoun RCB - Corujo RB - Lindsey CDM - Bronico LM - Bender CAM - Alcivar RM - Franco LF - Swiderski RF - Rios Substitutes: Marks, Mora, Walkes, Afful, Armour, Ruiz, Ortiz, Gaines, Reyna
  20. I think Williams is a good option for this team. He’s a taller Clint Capela and his impact on the defensive end should allow him to get some playing time immediately.
  21. I have not seen that Cockburn declared yet.
  22. Define decent? Mark Williams is probably the best option followed by Jalen Duren (although I’m not a fan). Walker Kessler is also available but I’d stay away, he’s slow and I don’t like his mental makeup. Second round options include Ismael Kamagate, Oscar Tshiebwe, Christian Koloko, Jaylin Williams, and Orlando Robinson. My preference is Mark Williams in the first and Christian Koloko or Orlando Robinson in the second. Mark Williams - He dominates the paint and the glass and at the very least can get you 10 a game on lobs and put-backs. He also has a better shot than people realize, he just wasn’t asked to showcase it at Duke, Christian Koloko - Very similar player to Williams just more raw. Like Williams, Koloko is a very good rebounder and shot blocker. Orlando Robinson - Can play inside and out but needs to work on his strength around the basket. Another great rebounder and shot blocker but competition level is a question.
  23. Wonder if this is why Jordan wants Westbrook.
