After Christmas the NHL Either needs to bring back the taxi squad or create an LTIR Covid list that allows teams to call up players from the AHL without worrying about cap space.

Seems like we are mostly drafting for potential. Walkes was a no brainer for me… A+ pick. Gaines and Mora are players you select for their potential. It will be interesting to see how they progress.

Looks like we get a bunch of views around here but not so many posts. Hopefully that changes. I know it’s a new game to a lot of people but everyone should feel welcome. I live in Orlando so I’ve been supporting Orlando City since their inception but being from Charlotte I am absolutely pumped for this team.

Agreed, good defenders are hard to find (especially CB’s). Being able to choose from a plot of proven MLS defenders is huge. Those DP slots can be used to enhance the wings. I always tell my high schoolers and club teams that I’d rather win a game 1-0 than 5-2 because it usually indicates that you have a strong spine (LB/RB, CB, CDM, CM) and that you can play a possession based game.

Whatever, this team needs some time to rest up. Fuging Canada needs to get their poo together.

Welp… this dropped a few minutes ago. I’m hoping that we keep Walkes and don’t flip him to another team. As an expansion side, you can’t do much better than him at the CB position. I also have no idea on the validity of this tweet, but adding Blackmon and Walkes would be huge for our club. This right here is a little concerning, not sure why you’d draft Medina when you can sign him on a free transfer while also drafting ITS from NYCFC. And of course… TRADES!
