Then we are stupid AF
-
Jarvis Landry in his prime is a good comparison. Somebody who can rack up yards, run good routes, but minimal TD upside. I don't see DJ Moore all of a sudden scoring a bunch of TDs.
-
People and media are saying "BONAFIDE #1" lol Yeah no. I put him in that Gabe Davis, Devonta Smith, Mike Williams range. Moore is a good player, he is not elite like the media is making him out to be.

Eh. Wanna see the details
-
My bad. Accidentally said his little brother's name lol Meant Josh McCown
-
Go watch Luke McCown dissect Stroud and Young's tape. And you know he is going to have a TON of say of who the QB will be. No way in hell we trade all the way up to #1 to draft a project in Richardson or Darnold 2.0 in Will Levis.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced

Fug that. The lowest I'd trade back to is #2. The dropoff after Stroud and Young is IMMENSE. -
Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced

Exactly. The "Panthers mortgaged their future" perspective doesn't sit either. We didn't mortgage the future at all, it was more like a high interest personal loan. Even if our QB busts (which you'll know in 2-3 years anyway), then we'll have all our picks to try again. This was an absolute steal compared to what other teams in the past have given up to get the #1 pick. -

Preach brotha. -
IDK why some people from the media and on this forum keep counting this years 1st when we swapped. We only gave up a 1st, 2nd (2) and a player on the last year of his rookie deal. This was an absolute steal to move up 8 slots for the top selection of QBs!!

So... Common Sense Says We're Drafting Stroud... Right????
Castavar replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Or watch us draft Trevor Lawrence and the Texans draft Zack Wilson (since Zach was the #2 pick). -
So then, we’ve got a WR corps to build. What do y’all got?
Castavar replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
We could go after DHop and Thielen. We could go after Downs, Hyatt, Cedric Tillman in draft. We could go TE in the draft and get Kincaid. A lot of options now. People that think we are actually going into the season with Marshall as our #1 is ridiculous. -

Either Stroud or Bryce Young. Wouldn't be mad at either of them tbh (but still prefer Stroud). There is a HUGE dropoff after those guys, and now we get our choice, backed by known offensive coaches who know what the hell they are doing. -
DJ Moore was a good player, we was NOT an elite WR like some are making him out to be. He used to disappear in big games and was lazy on a lot of routes. We are definitely going after Downs in the 2nd or going after Dhop
-
You hit the nail. I am not mad about giving up Moore at all.

DJ Moore traded as part of trade to Bears!
Castavar replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've always been of the impression that Moore was a decent (not star) WR. He can be replaced. You cannot replace a franchise QB though, which is what we feel like we have with this trade. -
That's not bad at all!!

Charlie Campbell: Panthers love Bijan Robinson
Castavar replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
It would be a very Panthers thing to do to draft another RB in the top 10. Have people not learned anything? We just had a journeyman RB rip off multiple 100+ yd games with multiple TDs because our o-line was mauling people. If you have a good o-line, it doesn't matter who is back there. Rounds 3-6 for RBs. That position is devalued in today's NFL. -
Back in high school, we had to do a drill called "bull in the ring". Literally no skill to it. It was just a drill to give high school kids CTE. One person would stand in the middle while the rest of the team circles around him. Coach would call on somebody from the circle to run full speed and bang helmets with the person in the middle. Loved it when I was a kid, feeling the effects from it today lol Really dumb drill
