  1. In my opinion he did show up throughout training camp etc. leading the team. Frank even alluded to how important Burns practice habits and leadership were for the rest of the team. I think Burns feel a bit let down by not having a new contract by now and a holdout seems to be the only option left. So I don’t blame him a bit. But we also can’t be without him this weekend. Hopefully this will get done tomorrow.
  2. He just seemed to struggle a lot with his processing when under any kind of pressure. But I’m sure the caches did Jim few favors.
  3. I only watched 2-3 Clemson games last year and he was really bad in all of them. Couldn’t handle the pressure, bad accuracy etc. What games did you watch where he was “pretty damn good”?
  4. I understand what you are typing, but not why you would think like that. Picking just one year out if a five year period to try to prove some kind of point is really weird. A five year offensive HC will always be preferred in this league over a somewhat unknown conservative defensive coach. I think Wilks is a great man and I hope he gets a chance eventually, but this is an odd comparison.
  5. I like Fitt. I think he’s made more good than bad so far. I also think that is true for the top GMs in the league. The expectations for perfection are completely unrealistic around here.
  6. I didn’t argue against Wilks, I argued against you saying Frank had a losing record.
  7. We’ll Frank had a winning record, but who cares about facts these days
  8. Very fair, however I think it speaks to the fact that they were just trying different things out during pre-season.
  9. The best part was when someone asked about the defense and he essentially said he was glad we have no idea, that was on purpose.
  10. They kept the best for now but will add more players, then a TE will get cut
  11. I watched the first couple of minutes of the Bears one, brutal and also really funny. He was openly so frustrated with everything
  12. I think I’ve lost track on what is a good contract so I’ll take your word on it. But sounds like a lot for someone who is probably better of coming of the bench.
  13. This was great, he’s raving about Young and his anticipation in general. How do you think he feels about Thielen?
  14. I remember 3 years ago (?) when Andrew Thomas was a bust LT for the Giants. And now he is one of the best in the league…
  15. So one if the most sought after defensive coordinators in the NFL says his preferred player type at the NT/DT position is not McCall. They really gave him a shot, but he couldn’t do what they wanted. So now half of the Huddle says he is wrong and he will regret it. That sounds about right and not surprising at all.
  16. I think he just got a concussion yesterday, so he’s been good to go the whole time. But he has looked a bit off during the preseason games.
  17. Are you saying we used training camp and preseason to figure out whom our best players are in our new system. Crazy talk I tell you.
  18. Same here. Love the idea of him as a player. But I saw nothing from him in the preseason.
  19. Not saying it is the case, but players in a brand new system a lot of time think instead of react, which slows them down. Once they know it by heart they can just react.
  20. You stating that the game drove you to drink is not the same thing as having a few drinks and watching a game. Drinking to cope with emotions is never a good thing. I think a few people were genuinely concerned.
  21. I did the same after saying we should have taken Neal who struggled at RT all of last year for the Giants. I could have seen an argument for Cross, but Neal…
  22. Yeah I don’t think people are very fond of condescending “I know better than you” type posts in general.
  23. I didn’t watch the game, only saw the 3-3 score at halftime. Did the Falcons look great despite that putrid score?
  24. All fair points. I just think most teams are thin in a couple of areas and are one or two injuries away. We are not unique in that. But of course I’d like better depth. Jets as an example are deep on defense but very thin on their o-line.
