  1. This guy is a baller! You can tell by how he dissects plays. Already really liked him, but now I'm loving him! Smart, humble, all around good guy...reminds me of me, LOL. take aways: Give Bryce a ton of credit. Like a lot. When asked about his contract. "I'm not going anywhere. I want to play for this team for as long as I can." YIPPEE! Gave love to TMac, Horn, Tremayne, even Hunter and Theilen. ONE NAME CONVEINENTLY LEFT OFF THE LIST.
  2. and Hell, we lock him in for 5 years on a rookie contract and let him test the market at 31. Plenty of productive edge rushers still getting it done at that age.
  3. And THEN... in the 2nd round, he has us picking Logan Jones, center from Iowa that most have going in rounds 4-6. I like the idea of drafting a center since we have so much cash tied up in our o-line, but is this really the right choice??? And let's not forget that we traded away our 3rd for Bain.
  4. That's not the argument, though. This was: "All we had to do was roll with Darnold 1 more year and Maye was ours." That is what I said, and stand corrected. Had we kept Darnold, it's doubtful that we'd be picking 3rd without trading up. Without a trade we're likely looking at Bo Nix as a consolation prize.
  5. You called it. All we had to do was roll with Darnold 1 more year and Maye was ours. Now both are in he SB.
  6. I love that the girl on the couch appears to be asking the other guy "Is he black?"
  7. Nice clip, the guy definitely says all the right things. He has gotten better every season, though not fast enough for my liking. For sure rooting for the man because where he goes, so do the Panthers.
  8. We were discussing Lomu, who Zierlein has going 24th in this mock. It's very unlikely that Fano or Maulgoa make it to us without a major redflag popping up in the next few months.
  9. Hmmm, he should be available on a short-term, low cap hit contract coming off an injury that sidelined him for a year and a half. Maybe with incentives if he plays a high percentage. I still would recommend re-signing Nijman as a safety blanket.
  10. I know that it is wwaaaaay early for mock drafts but a quick ask google says that this guy doesn't make it to 27, we likely have him in play at 19. I'll take a technically sound pass blocker over a behemoth mauler any day. "Projection: Late first round (approx. 16th-23rd overall)"
  11. I wouldn't be upset with QB TE if I'm being honest. Obviously depends on the player and I have no idea who'd be sitting there at 19 and 51. I'm not sold on Bryce or Sanders , Tremble is average, Evans doesn't have enough playtime to judge yet.
  12. Mad respect for the firefly (actually Serenity) gif!
  13. so...he's essentially already on a 2 year $8M (ish) contract with only $1.1M guaranteed?? $1.1 URFA in 2026 and $7M in 2027 RFA with a 1st round tender, if I'm understanding things correctly. We have more leverage than I thought.
  14. You sir are making a lot of sense to me! People acting like turning down $15 - $20M is easy. Best case for him would be a 2 year deal for $12M-$15M. If I'm the Panthers, I'm pushing for a 3-4 year deal at those rates. Interesting to see how it plays out.
  15. "fug pride. Pride only hurts, it never helps."
  16. So he holds out in 2027 instead? I wouldn’t take that. Panthers are facing a murderers row next season and were already primed to regress anyway. and again, gotta strike while you have leverage. He has it right now and the panthers don’t. I was thinking 3year $20M (ish) is a little more reasonable and easy for both sides to swallow. As for leverage...the Panthers have it all. He can play next year for $6.7M (with my numbers) or $1.1 (league min) or $0 (sits out). I can't imagine risking getting hurt for $1.1M while turning down guaranteed money. Also...by sitting out 2026, he looses all the momentum he had and becomes just another UDFA that had a few good games in the minds of GM's everywhere. No way someone keeps him in mind when handing out big contracts a year after playing a down. He's a good player and absolutely will get paid, but it won't break the bank.
  17. Exactly, Tom went to Tampa and won another SB, Bill drove the pats off a cliff without him. Easy to see who was the talent. Hell, TB was riding the bench until Bledsoe got hurt and wins his first SB the same season! BB had no idea what he had.
  18. I literally LOL when he said that! As much as I hate to admit it, as much as I hated Brady as a player, I kind of like him as an announcer. Greg is still much better!
  19. That was a good one, I just rewatched it after Snoop's netflix halftime show.
  20. Is that you Matt Khalil? The only lineman that could get in a 3 point stance with his hands on his hips.
  21. Meh, I always add on a couple of inches when talking about myself too.
