A movie about Bountygate, with Sean Payton played by...
shaqattaq replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Watching the Rhule presser, and can't stop thinking that HE looks alot like Kevin James. -
I absolutely LOVE the idea of taking a chance on a mid-late round RT this year. Let him play RG or back up Moton for a year and see what happens. Moton definitely wants big money, and, barring something extreme (knock on wood), will get it next year. I also like Randunz more than you, and would consider him at 39 if we don't get our LT in round 1. "Analysis: Radunz was an outstanding left tackle for North Dakota State and turned in three outstanding days of practice during January’s Senior Bowl. He offers possibilities at left tackle or even inside at guard in a zone-blocking system and comes with a large upside. While there may be bumps in the road early in his NFL career, Radunz will be a starter in the right system." https://www.profootballnetwork.com/dillon-radunz-nfl-draft-player-profile-ndsu-offensive-tackle/

Mark Harmon. Bonus points because he's already in NO for NCIS, and he played QB for UCLA. -
Huddle Freakout Draft Scenario--WR, QB or elsewhere?
shaqattaq replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think this actually has a huge chance of happening. But I still think Fields goes at #3, which would leave us picking between Jones and Lance at QB. If THAT happened, I'd definitely get Surtain. -

Yep. Surtain would be the only only other guy in play for me if this happened. -
I get the hype, but, for the value, would rather have Freiermuth at 39. Good catcher, good blocker, solid play maker. IF we draft Pitts, I like Radunz as my #39 LT . To answer the OP, I would go Sewell, Surtain, Pitts, in that order.

the fact that you noticed that, means you are gay in real life and are self conscious. psychology 101

He didn't even do that last season.

That's a nice mess of schoolies! I'm jealous.

There Appear To Be 2 Favorites To Land Teddy Bridgewater
shaqattaq replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty sure TB wanted him to back up Brady last yea before we overpaid him and let him start. That hasn't changed. They have Blaine Gabbert as backup now, but Bridgewater would be an upgrade if he's cool to restructure. -

I suspect keeping him is no longer an option. I don't think the relationship between the current staff and Teddy appears to be the best. Also, cutting him post 6/1 saves us $7.9M. That ain't chump change. -
Agree. #39 SHOULD be considered a starter from day 1, unless we draft a project QB that we plan to sit for a while to learn, which is an option. Since I've chosen to consider Darnold a rookie project QB, I hope we come away from round 2 with a starter at LT and CB.

WFT's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for #39, which he uses on Aaron Banks, the 5th best LG in the draft that he immediately plans to move to LT. Genius!! BTW, when TF are they going to get a name?? It's been over a year already. They should call themselves the no-congressional term limits, that's the scariest thing in DC that I can think of.
-
exactly. After QB, I think LT is the most important position on the field, followed by DE/CB. That's why they cost the most in FA. That 5th year option is very important.

The NFL team with the drunkest and highest fanbase is
shaqattaq replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
All their fans were too fugged up to take the survey. -
Rapoport said he's open to reworking it if it helps get a deal done. I've said a few times that he'd be one of the best backups in the league, like he was in 2019. He just has no reason to be a fulltime starter. It would definitely behoove him rework his deal. Backups quickly get forgotten if they're riding the pine. He was able to pull off a good deal last year by stringing together a few good games in 2019, and Dalton did the same thing this year. Someone will be desperate enough in 2022 to consider starting him.

Also, the Jets had to give a lot of thought to what they could trade the #2 pick for before letting Sam go. After SF set the value so high, they had to wait it out a little while before trading away their backup plan.
-
I thought that too, BUT Watson and Darnold are 2 very different trades.
-
me too, but hopefully that 2nd rounder ends up being #64.
