  1. Holy poo Reimer is like bungy. He's been stretched every direction all game.
  2. I mean if we can put an OL in front of him and have brady update his schemes. its more of a boost in my eyes using all our picks to start filling out the roster this year than crippling ourselves for 3-4 years to come. If we suck ass than go for Howell next year and we can cut teddy without cap issues. If we do good but not great then find your trade QB now that you know all the pieces around them are in place and they won't get killed one way or another.
  3. True but they were hawking him on the behind the net stuff pretty good last game. Half a step more and they would have gotten a couple on an empty net. Think its good to keep them guessing this series.
  4. Interesting, One week in the AHL? Wonder if we are making another roster move?
  5. The Carolina Hurricanes close out a five-game homestand with their second of four straight match-ups against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Match-Up Tampa Bay Lightning (10-4-1, 21 points) vs. Carolina Hurricanes (12-3-1, 25 points) Monday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m. Watch: FOX Sports Carolinas, FOX Sports GO Listen: 99.9 FM The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes app Numbers to Know 12-3-1: At 12-3-1 (25 points), the Canes have matched the franchise-best start through 16 games. You can probably guess which season it was (2005-06), and we all know how that season ended. 16: Three players - Trocheck, Andrei Svechnikov and Sebastian Aho - are tied for the team lead in points. All three players found the scoresheet on Saturday, and Svechnikov (1g, 1a) and Aho (1g, 1a) had multi-point performances. 2: The Lightning were not shut out once during their 70-game 2019-20 regular season and their 25-game run to the Stanley Cup. They've already been shut out twice in 15 games this season, both by the Canes. 1: Teuvo Teravainen missed Saturday's game with an upper-body injury. After the game, Brind'Amour provided this update on Teravainen's injury: "I'm hoping it's not going to be too long, but it's going to be a couple games for sure." https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/gameday-preview-tampa-bay-lightning-carolina-hurricanes/c-321666454 https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/projected-lineup-tampa-bay-lightning-carolina-hurricanes/c-321673768 Forwards Svechnikov-Aho-McGinn Niederreiter-Trocheck-Necas Foegele-Staal-Fast Paquette-Lorentz-Martinook Defensemen Slavin-Hamilton Skjei-Pesce Fleury-Bean Goalies Reimer Nedeljkovic Scratch: Gardiner Injuries: Mrazek (right thumb), Teravainen (upper body) Same as Saturday besides the switch-up at goalie.
  6. Gotcha, Wasn't sure if teams were even paying running backs 8+ 10 years ago.
  7. Could be this is our our year. I don’t think he’d have any issue in free agency. He’s not as bad as everyone thinks. we were just spoiled with some of the greatest linebackers in the modern game.
  8. Ya but then he misses the jump on free agency doesn’t he?
  9. From a team/nfl aspect he's great. From a football aspect i'm pretty on the fence about him still.
  10. If it was releasing him Pre-June 1st first does not give me much hope in our new GM. Perhaps he wants to be released now or traded. The difference is 5.5 million if we are just going to cut him today.
  11. Is Daley still on the roster? I thought he was a FA this year. Nvm was thinking Schofield.
  12. Ya in reality you are correct. I was just saying the best case scenario with teddy at this point cap/contract wise for us. Is to offload him to a team that needs a "Starting" QB training camp or early next season due to injury post june sixth. Anything else and we losing a serious chunk of space.
  13. Our best hope from an overall view is to trade teddy for a second or third round after June first to a team in dire need of a QB, such as one who losses their starting QB in training camp. Anything else and he's a flat loss books wise.
  14. I think if we were making a serious run last year he probably could have played way more games than he did. That said you are right he's got some mileage but last year also helped to balance that out.
  15. It does not save us a ton of money. It actually costs us an extra 5 million this year coupled with paying 40 million a year after this year for Watson. We could easily get a draft QB and save way more overall.
  16. CMC never left form. He just was injured and I think Rhule purposely kept him on the sideline when he could likely still play.
  17. CMC isn't conducive to our salary cap or theirs in a trade. And doesn't fit their needs this off season.
  18. Great start to the series overall. Sounds like from Rod's comments though TT may be out for a bit. I believe the quote was "a few games at least, we'll know more tomorrow or Monday". So potentially worse than he was letting on. Gardiner was a keeping Fleury in game (mental)shape decision. That paid off. Can't remember the exact quote. Might be more to read to read into there, maybe not.
  19. Now if they can just get Ned to settle down on that behind the net play vs these guys they almost got him twice on the turnover.
