  1. They have two weeks till gameday, so there's time.
  2. That's what I figured. If it's anything else, no one's said yet
  3. I don't really buy player jerseys, honestly. The only jerseys I own are personalized with my last name and high school number. (frequently leads to people asking "who was that guy and when did he play?)
  4. No, he didn't. His performance in Preseason 2 was very good.
  5. Walker has been given multiple chances to be an NFL quarterback. None of them panned out.
  6. To replace the other Lawson that they lost...
  7. My guess would be because he's raw and has a lot to learn. Is he physically dominating? Yep. But if he doesn't know the protection schemes and such, he could wind up being a liability. Remember Ryan Kalil telling the story about how, halfway through his rookie season, he felt like he had no clue what he was doing and some of the veterans or chuckling about it? And Ryan was a super smart guy. It's not an easy transition.
  8. It was the Eagles who dropped out when they chose to trade for Minshew instead. We weren't in the negotiations to begin with.
  9. That's what I figured. It made sense with the timing of the Minshew trade.
  10. Meanwhile in Denver... Only preseason of course, but still worth a chuckle
  11. FYI: Florio has indeed acknowledged that the Panthers aren't in on any deal for Watson. Nor is apparently anyone else but the Dolphins and even they apparently think the asking price is too high.
  12. FYI: Per Aaron Wilson, both of the guys who got ragdolled by Brown last night are among the Steelers first cuts. Probably a stretch to say that's a cause and effect thing, but hey...
  13. Throughout a pretty solid portion of the 2003 season, there were multiple people pushing the idea that Chris Weinke should start. As utterly ridiculous as that sounds now, it really happened.
  14. Allbright's not someone I follow as he isn't a great source for Panthers information. But since you mentioned him...
  15. That'd make me think likely Eagles since they just traded for Minshew.
  16. ...or Watson's agent. Of course, now it's the Dolphins story that's picking up steam. Probably worth noting that Charles Robinson is a way better source than Mike Florio.
  17. Actually it pretty much is unanimous except for Florio who's only reporting it as a rumor. (and given the number of people saying the same thing, I won't be surprised if Florio retracts his report)
  18. Until there's actually some resolution, it doesn't matter. And whatever resolution does come isn't guaranteed to be in his favor. That's the reality of the situation.
  19. I have an opinion, specifically that trading for someone who has these kinds of issues hanging over him would be a really bad idea (pretty much the rest of the NFL would agree). But the truth is, my opinion doesn't matter. Facts are facts and rumors are just that. And the reports now say we're not interested. Whether we will be in the future? Possible, but that's a huge unknown for now. Again, that's pretty much it for now. As far as the future, talk to me when it gets here.
  20. There was never more than rumor, and pretty much all those turned out to be bullsh-t. I get that you wanted it to be true, but it's just never looked that way.
  21. That's pretty much all that matters. The rest depends on future events.
  22. I'm not sure the door was ever really open. All we've ever seen were rumors based on the idea that Tepper "would pay any price" and such, which was pretty clearly bullsh-t since Tepper doesn't interfere in personnel decisions. The one story we've seen that actually addressed anything substantial came from Albert Breer. When he was talking about what led to the Darnold trade, he mentioned the team looked into Watson but since the Texans weren't even answering calls at that point, they decided to look elsewhere. That's pretty much it.
