  1. This is without doubt the stupidest argument that I've seen anybody present in Walker's favor.
  2. What about that post sounds like something an agent would say? What a dimwitted post.
  3. I have nothing against Walker, or Little for that matter. Likewise, I had nothing personal against Marty Hurney. But the reality is that some people aren't very good at football. And it's not a personal insult to point that out. Walker isn't an NFL quarterback (neither is Grier, for that matter) and Little isn't an NFL tackle. Kudos to them for putting in the work, but I seriously doubt that's going to change.
  4. Like the way some folks talk about Sam Darnold, for example?
  5. So is Greg Little. Nobody's against the idea of Greg Little becoming a franchise left tackle, but given what we know, any prediction that it's gonna happen is likely to be met with... skepticism. (Read: laughter)
  6. Maybe it's a smokescreen where people are posting idiotic stuff in order to throw us off of how smart they really are Nah... They're really that dumb.
  7. Tepper took it down because the situation have him an excuse to do so. And it wasn't just the statue. Tepper has reportedly removed anything and everything with Jerry Richardson's name on it from BOA.
  8. Believing Newton could have a decent to good season this year is reasonable. Believing he can be an MVP again makes you look like either a delusional fanboy or an eleven year old...or both.
  9. Miller played right guard last year. Kinda doubt that changes.
  10. It's not so much a "who's who" but more of a "who's he?"
  11. As I recall, either Joe Brady or Matt Rhule stated a while back that they have no plans to reduce their usage of Christian McCaffrey.
  12. Also, just to be clear, when it came to his sale of the team, Jerry Richardson wasn't so compliant as some folks might think. His original proposal when the stories first came out was an "internal investigation", one that I'm sure would have been very objective when it found no wrongdoing on his part. Marty Hurney specifically said he never saw any evidence of misbehavior, and heaven knows Marty wouldn't lie, right? I've long thought that Richardson expected the "good old boys" of the league to cover for him, but he underestimated how much the culture had changed. Once the league took over the investigation themselves, the writing on the wall was there for all to see. When he agreed to sell the Panthers, it was likely due to a realization that the league clearly wasn't going to cover for him. Possibly also out of his legendary loyalty to the NFL (remember the midfield logo) and not wanting to cause them embarrassment. As the process wore on though, they were reports that Richardson grew bitter. He was said to be grousing and saying things like "I don't have to sell his team". By that time however, it was pretty clear though that the NFL wanted him out (and David Tepper in). Seeing what's happened to the team since the transition, it's highly possible he's even more bitter now than he was then. Can't honestly say that makes me feel bad, though.
  13. I'd guess it's because Snyder wasn't the sole focus of the investigation. It was about a "toxic culture" inside the team. Snyder himself was accused of one or two things but from what I've gathered, other individuals did more. I know one of his former minority partners is now barred from having anything to do with an NFL team. Fair? Don't know, but that's what I understand about the 'why' of it. I suppose Richardson could have a complaint, but I can't say I care because his being forced to sell the team was the best thing that could have happened.
  14. Yeah...not true. Bridgewater's arm was never the issue. The problem was that he didn't have the courage to make risky throws when he needed to. Walker's touchdown to interception ratio shows that he definitely has the courage, just not the accuracy.
  15. And if the day comes when the NFL changes its point scoring system to "whoever throws it the farthest wins", then that'll come in handy. In the meantime, how far or how fast you can throw it doesn't mean jack sh-t if you can't throw it accurately to a certain spot while reading the defense that's trying to stop you. This is where Walker isn't good enough. Despite what some fans think, the guy with the strongest arm isn't always the best quarterback. Hell, take a look at who won the Super Bowl just last year.
  16. Moses is a Jet (for this year, anyway). No indication we were interested.
  17. You should find a sports book and bet as much money as you possibly can on that happening.
  18. Honestly, even that might be generous. I'm not sure either of them is an NFL quarterback. McCown would be good for the backup/mentor job. Last I remember, he was living in Charlotte (I think). I get the feeling we'll go to camp with what we have, though.
  19. I think there's a very real possibility they're going to try Taylor Moton on the left and look for the best possible option on the right. Could be Christensen, could be Erving, maybe even Scott or Daley if he can stay healthy.
  20. From what I've read, the team thought there was really only one franchise left tackle in the draft, and he was taken before our pick. So unless you want to go back and argue that we should have lost against Washington last year, there wasn't really sh-t we could do about that.
  21. If you're talking about the draft, that's Ireland more than it is Loomis.
  22. I wouldn't exactly say we "lost" Chris Reed. And yes, Russell Okung made the line better when he was in. Unfortunately, that doesn't matter when you can't count on him to be there from one week to the next. So yeah, if we're going off last year, ranking us low is fair. Realistically though, this year is an unknown and people making predictions are just throwing crap at the wall.
  23. Released with a "non football injury" designation... Have to admit, if the Steelers think Trai Turner is an upgrade, that'd make me nervous.
  24. Boy, there's a guy I'd love to have if he were healthy. That's a pretty huge question mark, though
