  1. One of our front office guys (Dom Anile, I think) basically promised Holliday we'd draft him and then gave a lame, stupid sounding excuse why we didn't afterward.
  2. There was a guy named Mitch Marrow in the early days that I'm not sure ever even practiced.
  3. Realistically though, if he hasn't learned basic skills by now, is he going to?
  4. Heck, Atiyyah Ellison was a third rounder who didn't even make the roster. A lot of people probably don't even remember his name because he was here for such a short time.
  5. His problems were always more mental than physical.
  6. I was told we didn't work on that sort of thing
  7. I was told we didn't work on that sort of thing
  8. Not under my skin. I just have a tendency to call out stupid when I see it. Mods probably wish I did less of that, but hey
  9. Scuffles don't honestly bother me that much, but Rhule is kind of a hardass. And it is fair to point out that losing your cool in game situations can cost you. Remember that playoff game against San Francisco a few years back.
  10. Yeah That's one of the hardest things about football. If you went just by ability, there are probably guys who were better than the players that beat them out, but they just couldn't take the wear and tear. Durability is a really difficult thing to measure. Just ask Dan Morgan.
  11. Even accepting that premise, it doesn't really preclude him from being genuinely stupid, though. Hell, putting that much effort into annoying people doesn't exactly speak of having an especially good life offline.
  12. I don't think they still want him, but they don't want to be seen as losing the fight either. If they accept less than a premium deal, they come out looking like the losers. I'll grant that it might be the wise thing to do, but people with big egos don't always do the wise thing.
  13. Oh sure. Everybody's lying, but they can't fool you, now can they?
  14. It's frequently up for debate whether somebody is just trolling or they're legitimately that stupid. Given the Chuck all too often winds up descending into furious rants that get him banned, I'm inclined to believe he probably really is that dumb.
  15. Do you really call assuming that everybody who disagrees with your narrative is lying "critical thinking"?
  16. Caserio comes from the Patriot school of things though. He may not give in easily. Ditto with McNair and his ego if he wants to be seen as "winning". And of course all it takes is for one team to be willing to bite the bullet. (right now, most people's money is on the Eagles being that team)
  17. Does it help you feel better about yourself if you make up your own narrative rather than listening to what people actually say? Yeah, people lie. But that doesn't mean everybody lies or that everything somebody says is a lie.
  18. The question then becomes whether the Texans will accept that kind of offer. As one reporter put it, their logic is that if you get Watson, you have the opportunity to keep him for the next ten years or so. Given that, why should they accept lesser compensation? Truthfully, seeing what the Eagles are about to lose on the Wentz trade probably doesn't encourage them in that direction either.
  19. Because since the story came out, other NFL players have been interviewed regarding the story and that's what they pretty much universally say. Heck, most of them said they've never even heard of anyone going to that many different masseuses.
  20. Refs were out at practice today but I haven't seen any mention of Horn getting flagged. He did apparently have some good highlights though. I'll take that as a positive.
