Double whammy of former Panther News: The Jaguars have placed Terry Godwin on injured reserve (didn't see what for). To replace him, they've signed Pharaoh Cooper. -
The world of NFL analysis and reporting has its fair share of Adams. I like Rank better than I do Schein.

For me honestly, what might be the biggest deal will be the players. If they get some legit guys that just weren't quite NFL ready or fell through the cracks, it could be a big boost. Getting a big name coach or two probably wouldn't hurt either.

This sounds a little negative, but I don't think Josh means it that way. He's right though. The last vestiges of Jerry Richardson's team are headed off into the sunset. Jeff Morrow is taking a lesser role in the front office that makes me think he might retire soon as well. The one exception seems to be Matt Allen, but from what I've been reading I don't think that's a problem.

Wait, you mean everybody's not trying to get out because we traded for Darnold? Rhule actually said something similar in one of his recent post OTA pressers. He said Darnold doesn't even want to have one bad rep in practice. Bad reps are going to happen to everybody, but that kind of perfectionist thinking is nice to see.- 27 replies

I'm not sure the XFL could have survived long-term, primarily for one reason. Vince McMahon is a colossal dickhead. That, plus he's starting to show signs of going down the same path as Jerry Richardson. Can't help feeling that organization would have imploded eventually. Hell, there's even talk now that he might sell the WWE.

I'm one of many folks who really wish that the NFL would embrace the idea of having a minor league. The USFL could definitely serve that purpose.

Thomas is still on a rookie contract, so he's not expensive. Since teams typically keep three tight ends, for him to not make the team would require three guys be better than him. Looking at our current roster (barring any changes) I think it's very possible that two guys will be. I'm not so sure about three.

I used to do a roster spreadsheet to help familiarize myself with the players, but I had given up on it a while back. The return of Hurney had me feeling like it wasn't worth it. Finally doing that again this offseason...

There's a certain school of thought that believes sometimes you can just let people know what you're doing and still do it because you're so damn good they won't be able to stop you. The vast majority of the time, that's not true. Unfortunately, Ron apparently believed it was.
